KEY TEXT: PROVERBS 3:5-6 KJV, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

It is written that except the Lord build a house, the builder build in vain, except the Lord watch over the city, they that watch are watching in vain. It means that anything one does without the consent of God or outside the will and help of God is nothing but a waste of time. A lot of people have used their own carnal wisdom to plan their lives over the years and nothing good and profitable to their souls and Heaven came out, but frustration and disappointment to themselves and Heaven all along. Psalm 9:10 KJV

God is giving you another chance to plan your ways with Him and to walk your journey of life with Him this year. It may interest you to know that millions of people who had plans for the year 2022 are no more. You have been given the uncommon and unmerited privilege to make all your past wasted years right with God. So handle it wisely and prayerfully because you might be having the last opportunity to do so. Do all to let God be at the centre of all your plans and resolution this year and for the rest of your life. Psalms 37:4 KJV

KEY TEXT: LUKE 21:19 KJV: "In your patience possess ye your souls."

One must have the spirit of patience in this race to Heaven. One might fall out of the race if he or she is not patient enough. A believer could be persecuted or thrown into prison. You must be strong and courageous, no matter what you are going through or what is passing through you for Christ's sake. You do not need to worry, rather count it as one of those things that will lead to your glorious testimonies and also catapult you to your eternity in Heaven. Always know that God is there to protect your soul in all situations. The Spirit of God is saying that our souls need to be nurtured and preserved for our eternity in Heaven. LUKE 21:12 KJV

WHATEVER IS WRITTEN CONCERNING YOU MUST COME TO PASS: Be reminded that others will hate you for no just cause. Why? Because of holiness and righteousness, your striving to please God will attract hatred. Even your own people will hate you, and in some cases, your Christian family, too. All this needs to happen for the gospel and the glory of God to be manifested through you. If you are to be hated or killed for the glory to be manifested, it would undoubtedly be done. There is nothing you or anyone can do about it. JOHN 9:2-3 KJV

TITLE: WOULD YOU BE SPARED BY GOD?  

KEY TEXT: GENESIS 6:13 KJV, “And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”

Are you prepared to run in this race to Heaven? After death, will Jesus say, “Welcome, my faithful servant,” or, “Depart from me, you worker of iniquity”? During Noah’s time, the world was corrupt. The Lord saw how evil people were, and everything they thought or planned was evil. He was very sorry and repented that He made man because it grieved His heart. Genesis 6:6, 1 CORINTHIANS 9:27 KJV

The Lord said that He would destroy everything He created: the people, animals, and insects. But Noah found grace in the sight of the Lord because he was a just man who walked with God. Because he lived right and obeyed God, he and his family were saved from the flood that came to destroy the earth. Can that be said of you, my beloved reader of this message? Would you find grace in the sight of God if he decides to end the world now? Are you living in the fear and love of God? Can you be called a righteous man or woman in your generation? GENESIS 6:7 KJV

The Lord is interested in your soul. You must be ready to suffer with Him and tell others about what He can do and also did while on earth. The Bible says that Christ was going about, getting people to the Kingdom. You must also love God more than yourself in any duty that He gives you. MARK 16:15 KJV

Any duty you receive from the Lord should be more important than your sleep or anyone you care about. He called you to serve Him and made you a savior, so that you can save other people’s souls. But if you put your problems or other things first, then you are not ready. Please do not be like the people who were only following Christ because of what they needed. JOB 23:12 KJV

KEY TEXT: ROMANS 8:11 KJV, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

No matter what a believer is going through, he or she must not drop the cross. Anyone who became born again because he or she heard that Jesus would bless him or her with earthly blessings is not really carrying a cross, but is only laboring temporarily. ISAIAH 29:13 KJV

Ask yourself this: Why are you serving God? Is it because you need a miracle that you can enjoy temporarily on earth and then leave it for all of eternity? That is why God has nothing to do with complainers. He hates when people complain about things. But when one truly follows Christ, he or she does not endure but enjoys it, no matter the circumstances. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:19, NUMBERS 11:1 KJV

TITLE: THE COST OF FOLLOWING CHRIST (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: ROMANS 8:5 KJV, “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.”

The marriages of Christians and non-Christians are not the same. Couples who are not Christians could do whatever they like to make themselves happy. The spirit of Ananias and Sapphira can fully operate in non-Christian homes without boundaries. Husbands and wives can jointly do things together to make money or make things work for themselves in an ungodly way without the fear of God, but it is never the same in Christian homes. The fear and love of God governs the believers’ homes while the flesh rules in unbelievers’ homes. ROMANS 8:8 KJV

Christians and non-Christians do not value the same things. Non-Christians do not have to sacrifice anything for Christ or carry a cross daily. They can put anything and everything first, enjoying life to the fullest. But this is not so with true Christians. They must deny themselves and carry their cross daily. LUKE 9:33 KJV

The Lord knows the mind of everyone. Not everyone is ready to sacrifice everything. When people fail to put God and their salvation first, they risk losing everything. By valuing other things more than Jesus Christ and their salvation, they are indirectly preferring hellfire to Heaven. Anyone who ends up in hellfire automatically loses everything. For instance, the people they loved, the wealth they had, and everthing they used to have. HEBREWS 4:12 KJV

KEY TEXT: MATTHEW 16:24 KJV: "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

It is not easy for the flesh to accept the cost of following Christ, because there is a high price to pay. Before anyone should follow Christ, he or she must make up his or her mind about it. It is not a decision that one could just wake up one day and jump into. If someone makes the decision to follow Christ without knowing what he or she is getting into, then there is a tendency to leave. LUKE 9:62 KJV

Not everyone gets born again because he or she wants to follow Christ. Some people become born again because of what they need, and after getting what they were looking for, they go back to the world (their old lives). This is not the true meaning of being born again. JOHN 6:26 KJV

Many Christians commit evil as if they are unsaved. There was a man who said that he could still drop his Bible for someone’s sake and proceed to commit evil. Is that the true nature of Christ? Absolutely not. A true Christian can never think of forsaking his or her Bible to do anything evil. 2 TIMOTHY 2:19 KJV

Christians must always have a soft answer. When someone calls you on the phone, the first thing that matters is your answer. If you answer the wrong way, nothing you say after that will matter to the person who called. Before God can put anyone in a ministry, He wants to make sure that you are someone with a tender heart. PROVERBS 15:1 KJV

Can you lay down your life for your friend as the Bible instructed in 1 John 3:16? How do you lay your life for a friend you might ask? By doing things to make him or her happy, even if it makes you sad. If he or she is in need of something, can you offer it? What about having sleepless nights trying to do things in order for him or her to be happy? JOHN 15:13 KJV
