*KEY TEXT: Revelation 21:8 KJV: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”*

*The Word of God states that there is a place that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death for everyone who disobeys God. It is a place that they will live forever and ever. Adam and Eve were the first people Satan deceived, and they disobeyed God through the lies of Satan. Adam sinned and because of that sin, death came into the world, and we all became enemies of God. Genesis 3:16-19

TITLE: DEFEAT THE DEVIL AND TEMPTATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST

KEY TEXT: Matthew 4:1 KJV: “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

Understand that Satan is the greatest enemy of our souls. All he wants us to do is to disobey the commandment of God so that we will be in hellfire with him, because he is looking for as many people as he can to be part of hell fire. He always wants us to disobey the God that created us. 1 Peter 5:8

He wants children to disobey their parents, for humanity to treat each other contrary to what the Word of God commands, and doesn't want us to embrace the truth of the Almighty God. The Bible describes Satan as the father of all lies. “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth” (John 8:44). He doesn't like anything truthful. Why? Because there is no truth in him. 1 John 1:6

*KEY TEXT: LUKE 12:15 KJV: “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”*

*James reminds us that where envy exists, confusion and every evil work is present. This shows how destructive envy can be, creating division, discord, and chaos. In contrast, the wisdom that comes from above is pure, peaceable, and full of mercy. "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work" (JAMES 3:16).*

TITLE: THE DANGER OF BEING ENVIOUS (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Matthew 6:33 KJV: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Envy can blind us to the goodness of God and the blessings He has already given us. When we focus on what others have, we fail to recognize and appreciate what God has done in our own lives. The psalmist reminds us to give thanks to the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men. "O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever" (PSALMS 107:1).

Jesus warned His followers against coveting the possessions of others, teaching that life does not consist in the abundance of things. Envy can lead us to covet what belongs to others, but Jesus calls us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that all other things will be added to us. "Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth" (LUKE 12:15)

*TITLE: THE DANGER OF BEING ENVIOUS*

*KEY TEXT: PROVERBS 16:5 KJV: “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.”*

*The Bible teaches that love does not envy. In 1 Corinthians 13, often referred to as the "love chapter," Paul describes the attributes of true, godly love. One of the first characteristics mentioned is that love "envieth not." Love is content, seeks the good of others, and does not harbor jealousy. "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not" (1 Corinthians 13:4).*

*The root of envy is often pride, as we compare ourselves to others and feel that we deserve better than they do. Pride fuels the desire to be superior to others, which in turn breeds envy when we perceive that others have surpassed us. The Bible tells us that pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall" (Proverbs 16:18).*

*KEY TEXT: Mark 8: 36-37 KJV: "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"*

*LOSE NOT YOUR SOUL: This world is like a theater where every conduct and motive is watched by God. There is nothing in this world worth going to hell for; no pleasure or possession can equate to the value of your eternal soul. As stated in Mark 8:36-37 (KJV): "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Our souls are precious to God, and both God and Satan are contending for them. Mark 8:36-37*

*AN ETERNAL HOME: No matter how comfortable we become on earth, we must remember that this is not our permanent home. The world and its pleasures will pass away, but those who do the will of God shall abide forever. Our souls are eternal; we cannot die but will live eternally—either in heaven or hell. Hell is a place of eternal pain, torture, and torment, not designed for man. Therefore, we must take care of our souls through the Word of God, prayer, and obedience, not trading it away for temporary gains like money or fleeting pleasures. 1 John 2:15-17*

TITLE: CONSECRATION UNTO GOD IS DEMANDED (PART 5)

KEY TEXT: 1 PETER 1:15 KJV: “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation.”

It is a continuous process: Consecration is not a one-time event but a lifelong commitment. Daily, we must choose to surrender ourselves anew to God's will, allowing Him to shape and mold us into His image. “I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” (1 Corinthians 15:31)

*TITLE: CONSECRATION UNTO GOD IS DEMANDED (PART 4)*

*KEY TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 6:20 KJV: “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."*

*Consecration requires faith. As we set ourselves apart for God, we do so in faith, trusting that His ways are higher than ours. We believe that He is able to work in and through us for His glory, even when we do not fully understand His plan. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (HEBREWS 11:6).*

*Sacrifice is an essential part of consecration. Just as Christ gave up everything for us, we are called to lay down our lives in service to Him. This may involve giving up worldly ambitions, comforts, or relationships, but the reward is an eternal inheritance in Christ. “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me” (MATTHEW 16:24).*

*TITLE: CONSECRATION UNTO GOD IS DEMANDED (PART 3)*

*KEY TEXT: ROMANS 12:1 KJV: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”*

*Consecration leads to deeper fellowship with God. As we draw near to God in consecration, He draws near to us. Through our dedication, we experience the fullness of His presence and the richness of a relationship that is unhindered by sin or worldly distractions. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded” (JAMES 4:8).*
