TITLE: THE TRUE NATURE OF A CHRISTIAN (PART 9)

KEY TEXT: PHILIPPIANS 2:4 KJV, “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.”

Can you lay down your life for your friend as the Bible instructed in 1 John 3:16? How do you lay your life for a friend you might ask? By doing things to make him or her happy, even if it makes you sad. If he or she is in need of something, can you offer it? What about having sleepless nights trying to do things in order for him or her to be happy? JOHN 15:13 KJV

If someone does not have something, would you pray for them to have it with all your heart, even if you do not have it yourself? Christ never married or had children when He was on earth, but He prayed for people’s children and even raised them from the dead. GALATIANS 6:2 KJV

The Bible says that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away and all things have become new. Until your former life is gone, you are not yet in Christ. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please give me the mind and heart to see people the way you see them, and help me treat them the way you do, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: "But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased" (HEBREWS 13:16 KJV).
