TITLE: DEFENDING YOUR FAITH TO THE LATTER

KEY TEXT: "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name" (Revelation 3:12 KJV).

When one genuinely becomes born again, one immediately gets enlisted as Satan’s enemy, and an unending battle to contend with one’s faith begins. Satan would make sure that his three fold mission to kill, steal, and destroy are accomplished in one’s life. He is doing everything within his power to frustrate the genuine children and servants of God, to turn them away from their God and their God-given assignments. He is bent on making life miserable for the true children of God, so that they would start doubting their God, and at some point, give up the fight. But would we give up the fight to Heaven? Would we deny our God because of the unfairness we get in this world and the daily battles? Ephesians 6:12; John 16:33 KJV

TITLE: MONEY FAILS
 
KEY TEXT: “Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit” (Job 10:12 KJV).

The majority of people have forgotten God and are pursuing money because it is written that money answers all things, according to Ecclesiastes 10:19. The wise will dig deep into the spirit to understand the context. The Scripture above was referring to all temporary things that the rich could afford. That was why the teacher went further to say, “Curse not the king nor the rich,” in Ecclesiastes 10:20, because they could use their money or influence to destroy you. This is how far money can go, but it has no power over the soul. Money or riches only answers to things you could easily do away with in this world before you face eternity. If money is answerable to all things, the poor beggar named Lazarus (in Luke 16) would not have entered the Kingdom of God, and the rich man would have used it to buy his way in. Only holiness and righteousness answers all the things of the spirit. Ephesians 5:15-17 KJV

Until one realizes that all things are God’s and remain God’s, laying claim on anything on earth that one met and would definitely leave behind, is unwise. The devil laughs when he sees human beings killing themselves over temporary things of this world. It is sinful and foolishness to boast or think we actually own anything for ourselves. It is written, “What do you have that was not given you by God?” If what you have was given to you by God, why don’t you use it to glorify the Giver and to be a channel of blessing to others?  Proverbs 3:9-10 KJV

TITLE: FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE

KEY TEXT: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1 KJV).

Being a Christian or a believer in Christ is all about freedom from bondage. There is no other reason Jesus Christ came to this world to suffer such humiliation in the hands of the people He created and died a vicarious death for, if not to set humanity free from bondage. Anyone who is outside of God is in the bondage of Satan. We know that we all were enemies of God by the deeds of the flesh, having no hope of freedom from the hands of the devil until salvation came through Jesus Christ. It is written: “And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us.” Luke 1:69, 71 KJV

TITLE: RUN FROM SIN AND AVOID DARKNESS

KEY TEXT: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:13 KJV).

The world is the way it is now because darkness has engulfed it. Every thought of man is wicked and evil (governments planning evil against the people they profess to be leading, countries like China planning to invade neighboring countries as Russia is doing to Ukraine, etc). They want other countries added to theirs, even when God has blessed them richly. It is the same reason that is making men of gods to do what they are doing to their followers, using all kinds of diabolical means to keep them in bondage. All this is happening because the heart is covered with darkness. Darkness and sin go together. Everyone prays against darkness, even a man that is insane hates darkness. No one sees the beauty of anything covered up in darkness. The world is covered with darkness; hence, hatred and killing are the order of the day. Human beings no longer see the beauty in life anymore. 1 John 3:8 KJV

TITLE: THE CHURCH OF CHRIST AND THE OLD LANDMARK

KEY TEXT: “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved” (Acts 2:47 KJV).

It is really a pity that what we now have today is the church of men. Most churches that one sees, having thousands in their congregations, are only business ventures owned by charlatans hiding under the name of the Church, growing the population of people that are on their way to hell, and satanic agents pretending to be pastors are leading them. I am concerned about the growth of the true Church of Christ. During the early years of Christianity, the Church of Christ grew greatly, not only numerically, but in spirit and in the fear of God, because the early Christians walked in line with the apostles' doctrine and did everything in common. With gladness and singleness of heart, they followed the same course and minded the same things. They united themselves under the same umbrella of the Holy Spirit, and with genuine hearts, they continued daily in one accord, communing together in breaking of bread, fasting, and praying while studying the Word of God intensely. This made them obtain favour from men, and the Lord added to the Church daily those who were to be saved. Acts 2:44-47 KJV

TITLE: STOP CELEBRATING SIN

KEY TEXT: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19 KJV).

There are countless souls that once sinned while they were alive that are in Heaven today. People do not go to hell because they sinned unwillingly, but they go to hell because of their unconfessed sins. God is not angry when one sins unknowingly, but He is angry when one sins and feels comfortable in it without confessing it in fear and trembling. That is the state of most Christians today. Many believers enjoy living in iniquity because their pastors do not condemn sin, or they have gotten a hold of one Bible verse that they feel encourages them to live in sin to their own detriment. It is heartbreaking to hear believers encouraging themselves in sin by saying that no one is righteous, and none can do without sinning because the Bible says in Romans 3:23 that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. So, according to them, everyone has been labelled as a sinner and should keep on sinning. This is how Satan has deceived humanity into living in sin, sending them to hellfire. Isaiah 5:14 KJV

TITLE: HOW MUCH DO YOU VALUE YOUR SALVATION? 

KEY TEXT: “For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory” (Isaiah 3:8 KJV).

Just as Jesus Christ greatly expected to see Stephen in His Kingdom (to the point that He stood to welcome him while they were yet stoning him), so are lots of souls in hellfire who were expected in Heaven. The saints and angels were rejoicing and waiting in great anticipation for them. Not only was Heaven expecting them, but most of the damned souls in hellfire actually had their missions ready for the great work which they did in faith while on earth before they deviated, sabotaging their souls, not knowing their time to exit the earth was close. They fell into sin, death struck, and they immediately found themselves at the judgment seat of Christ, where they were told, “Depart, I never knew you!” Ezekiel 18:20 KJV

Most of today's believers are either like Lot's wife or worse than her. Jesus Christ compared the heavenly race of fleeing this world of sin into Heaven, to Lot and his family fleeing Sodom and Gomorrah to the mountain for safety. Hence, Jesus told us (the believers) to remember what happened to Lot's wife and take heed, so that we do not fall victim to her damnation. Just as today's believers, Abraham, a friend of God, interceded for Lot’s wife and her family. She had a righteous husband by her to flee with, along with physical angels holding her hands to escape the wrath of God, yet she perished because of her stubbornness and love for Sodom and Gomorrah. Mark 8:36-37 KJV
