TITLE: HOW MUCH DO YOU VALUE YOUR SALVATION? 

KEY TEXT: “For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the LORD, to provoke the eyes of his glory” (Isaiah 3:8 KJV).

Just as Jesus Christ greatly expected to see Stephen in His Kingdom (to the point that He stood to welcome him while they were yet stoning him), so are lots of souls in hellfire who were expected in Heaven. The saints and angels were rejoicing and waiting in great anticipation for them. Not only was Heaven expecting them, but most of the damned souls in hellfire actually had their missions ready for the great work which they did in faith while on earth before they deviated, sabotaging their souls, not knowing their time to exit the earth was close. They fell into sin, death struck, and they immediately found themselves at the judgment seat of Christ, where they were told, “Depart, I never knew you!” Ezekiel 18:20 KJV 

REMEMBER WHERE YOU HAVE FALLEN: Many believers have fallen away and most of them are enjoying the pleasures of iniquity. Many who were poor (according to human assessment) and were living their lives pleasing God, became very wealthy according to human perception. Now, they have totally forgotten who Jesus Christ was, is, and would forever be. They are getting themselves involved in dubious activities to make money with their conscience seared up. John 8:31 KJV 

DO NOT COMPROMISE: The problem with most fallen believers is that they allowed themselves to engage in a dialogue with the devil. Even though the devil may not show up physically, it is advisable to watch out for the thoughts that comes into our hearts. We must also be cautious of what we allow into our eyes and our ears for our minds not to be polluted. The majority of pastors who have fallen into the hands of the god of Mammon because of greed, engaged themselves in conversations with the agents of Satan disguised as pastors. You would surely fall victim of hellfire if you do not learn to be satisfied with what God has blessed you with. Say no to backsliding and hold on to your faith in Christ firmly. Matthew 6:25 KJV 

PRAYER: Lord, have mercy upon me, in any way I have traded my salvation. Forgive me and restore me, and grant me the grace to hold on to my salvation. Help me not to sabotage it for any reason, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning” (2 Peter 2:20 KJV).
