BORN AGAIN BUT GULLIBLE

Title: BORN AGAIN BUT GULLIBLE

Key Text: Matthew 25:1-2 KJV - Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

It may be surprising to hear that someone is born again, yet foolish. How is that possible? That was the state of the five foolish virgins. Among all the girls in that society or nation, they were the only ten chosen to meet up with the bridegroom. Why was that? Because of their pure state of life. Five of them did not just stop at being pure, but they moved further to be wisely pure, while the other five who were also pure were not qualified to meet the pure, wise, holy and righteous bridegroom. They were called virgins because of their purity; however, they were disqualified because of their foolishness. You can imagine how many souls are lamenting in hellfire right now after being born again. Why? Because they were foolish on earth. Psalm 19:7 KJV

Title: THE BLESSEDNESS OF BEING MERCIFUL

Key Text: Hebrews 8:12 KJV - For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The key text of today's Divine Inspiration looks so encouraging, reading that God would be merciful to one's unrighteousness (sin and iniquity), and it would be forgotten. I believe everyone would want to experience this kind of favour in the sight of God. It is unfortunate to those who only profess to be in such a state of favour, but they are not working towards it. God is a faithful God who pays everyone according to his or her doings. Matthew 16:27 KJV

Title: NOT ALL NARROW WAYS ARE THE RIGHT WAY

Key Text: Matthew 7:13 KJV - Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.

Someone may ask, “How can a narrow way lead to hellfire?" The answer is simple, as explained by Jesus Christ Himself in the key text of today's Divine Inspiration. He said to enter through the strait gate. He said “strait gate” because He knew that not all narrow roads are strait. A lot of believers are on narrow ways that lack the whole truth of the gospel. Many congregations are subjected to painful church doctrines, while the Bible’s doctrine has been done away with. 1 Timothy 6:3-5; 2 Timothy 4:3 KJV

TITLE: WHY WERE YOU CHOSEN BY GOD?

KEY TEXT: 1 Peter 2:9 KJV - But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

It is one thing to be called by God, another thing to hear or know that God is calling you, another thing to answer the call of God, and another thing to know why you were called by God. Many are so deaf that they cannot hear God's voice calling them. The world has so much engulfed them that their ears are closed by what they are pleasurably doing in iniquity. Some are hearing God call them. They are told by men of God, and God sometimes uses His little children to tell them He is calling them, but they refuse to answer Him. Why? Because they think they already answered a call to work in a well-paid company or are already in a flourishing business, so they have no time for God. 1 John 2:27 KJV

EXPECTING THE CROWN WITHOUT THE CROSS

TITLE: EXPECTING THE CROWN WITHOUT THE CROSS

Key Text: Luke 9:23 KJV - And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Anyone who is actually ready to serve God must be ready to carry the cross. But most Christians today are not ready for the cross but the crown. Our Lord, Jesus Christ, never told us that following Him was going to be bread and butter (easy), but He said: "...take up your cross and follow me." One must be ready to face challenges (spiritually and physically) as a believer. You must be ready to make Jesus Christ and His will for your life the utmost priorities, no matter how painful it may be. Matthew 6:23-25 KJV

TITLE: RADICAL TRUST IN GOD IS DEMANDED

KEY TEXT: Proverbs 3:5 KJV - Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Many believers claim to put their trust in God, while some consider calling on the name of Jesus Christ as trust. They pray to Him before going to bed and when they wake up, and they may even go as far as basing their arguments on the fact that they pray on their food before eating or before embarking on a journey for a safe trip. Is this what trusting God is all about? Most believers in this category are only “born again” because of what they momentarily need from God, and the spirit of service in holiness is not in their lives. Luke 9:23 KJV

TITLE: GIVE UP THE IMPOSSIBLE MISSION

KEY TEXT: 1 Samuel 17:47 KJV - And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands.

The most dangerous or damnable mission one should pray not to embark on is to fight or work against God. One should pray not to fall victim of allowing himself or herself to be used against what God Himself is doing or standing for. Many in the past have tried to stop or truncate the plans of God. Some, with the little power or authority given to them, forget that all power belongs to God. They tried to allow themselves to be used against God's interests. Almost everyone who has done so has never lived to see the end of the mission. 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV

STRIVE TO BECOME LIKE JESUS CHRIST

Title: STRIVE TO BECOME LIKE JESUS CHRIST

Key Text: Luke 6:31 KJV - And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Jesus Christ, in all His glory, left His throne, came to this world, suffered and died for humanity. Why? Because He saw the untold pain that awaited anyone who died in sin. By putting Himself in our shoes, He gave mankind the hope of salvation; hence, putting ourselves in other people's shoes is extremely important before finalizing any decision in any situation. We must exhibit true love towards one another as Christians, which is what the Bible teaches. Unfortunately, this kind of love is not practised in Christendom, not even the preachers of the gospel can boldly say that they are obeying this very commandment. Unknown to us, we would not hurt other people or see the less privileged and turn our eyes from them, if we really understand the key text of today's Divine Inspiration. It is high time we started following the Scriptures the way it is. Many have ended up in hellfire because they thought others were inferior to them. Philippians 2:3 KJV

Title: HUNGER AND THIRST AFTER RIGHTEOUSNESS

Key Text: Ephesians 4:24 KJV - And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

The conviction and desire of a true, born-again Christian should be the constant hunger to please God in all that he or she does. I have seen preachers writing and singing about being holy, but they themselves do not have the fear of God to run away from sin. No one can live holy without the fear of God in him or her. The fear of God is the driving force that chases sin far from a man. Some believers, especially the youths, want to be holy, even when they are right in a party hall with worldly music playing, while having irresponsible haircuts and ungodly dressing. Holiness is not about writing, preaching or singing it. It is living daily in the fear and obedience of God with the help of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 5:6 KJV

Title: THE UNIMAGINABLE WICKEDNESS

Key Text: John 3:19 KJV - And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

The wickedness in our generation is beyond imagination. No wonder our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, said that it would be more tolerable for the people of Sodom and Gomorrah than for this generation of vipers. Christ said, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” Wickedness is not only when someone kills, steals, etc., it is knowing the right thing to do but doing the opposite; seeing light, but preferring to live in darkness. It is wickedness and beyond imagination for someone not to believe in Jesus Christ as the Saviour of mankind and the world. Psalm 34:21 KJV
