TITLE: FREEDOM FROM BONDAGE

KEY TEXT: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” (Galatians 5:1 KJV).

Being a Christian or a believer in Christ is all about freedom from bondage. There is no other reason Jesus Christ came to this world to suffer such humiliation in the hands of the people He created and died a vicarious death for, if not to set humanity free from bondage. Anyone who is outside of God is in the bondage of Satan. We know that we all were enemies of God by the deeds of the flesh, having no hope of freedom from the hands of the devil until salvation came through Jesus Christ. It is written: “And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us.” Luke 1:69, 71 KJV 

ARE YOU FREE FROM BONDAGE? It is a pity to see that the Church that is supposed to be a place of freedom has become a prison-house, where those in the bondage of Satan are kept. Most professing men of God in this generation are wolves in sheep’s clothing, hired by the devil to keep the children of God in prison houses they call churches. There is no bondage that is more than living in sin. Most churches today are an extension of the kingdom of sin, and many so-called believers enjoy living in the bondage of sin. John 8:36 KJV

ARE YOU SAVED FROM SIN? Any so-called deliverance or freedom that excludes freedom from sin is another bondage that needs divine intervention. That is what is happening in most churches today. You see people falling and rolling on the ground with their old life of sin intact. Most deliverance ministries are a mockery, and Satan is happy seeing people falling and getting up, rejoicing of being delivered when they are actually close to hellfire. What freedom are you seeking for in the church you are attending? Freedom from sin is automatically freedom from Satan and hell. Are you free from sin? Romans 8:1-2 KJV 

PRAYER: My Lord and my God, please have mercy on me for neglecting the eternal freedom from sin and running after temporary freedom. I repent from all my sins and embrace the freedom that genuine salvation brings, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32 KJV).
