TITLE: SELF RE-EVALUATION IS DEMANDED

KEY TEXT: "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV).

It is very important for every believer to cultivate the habit of self-examination to know his or her state in walking with God and working for God. This was where the Christians at Corinth missed it. They were not careful enough to examine themselves to know if they were eligible to take the holy communion or not, hence, many of them ate the body and drank the blood of Jesus Christ unworthily. For that reason, the ordinance designed by God to heal and bring deliverance to man started making them weak, sick, and many of them died. The same is happening in today's churches. Most believers are not careful enough to check themselves. 1 Corinthians 11:28 KJV

 TITLE: WHO IS YOUR LIFESTYLE PLEASING?

 KEY TEXT: “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ” (Galatians 1:10 KJV).

 Almost anything one does in life is to please someone. You can agree with me that nothing you do is not about pleasing someone. It is either you are doing things to please yourself, a particular person, a group of people, God, or Satan. Could you please check yourself to know who you are living your life to please? You are definitely living to please your flesh and Satan if you are not born again. Many believers do not even know what pleases God. They do not study the Bible to know the mind of God. Some no longer study the Bible or pray to hear from God to know what the Bible says concerning them. They are left with the option to do whatever their self-acclaimed man of god (who is busy trying to enrich himself) asks them to do. Many have made their hearts and homes the dwelling place of satan, along with accursed properties from the marine and witchcraft kingdoms that they bought in a so-called church for “protection”; hence, they have merely become Satan and men-pleasers rather than pleasers of God. Ephesians 6:6

TITLE: DO NOT EXIT THIS WORLD IN IGNORANCE

KEY TEXT: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27 KJV).

It is baffling to know that some believers still do not understand the meaning of eternity. It worries me a lot when I hear people saying, “Where do people really die and go to?” Does it mean they do not read the Bible to understand that there is life in Heaven and hell after death? The Bible says that those whose names were not written in the Book of Life were cast into the lake of fire, while those who died in the Lord and had their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life rested from all their labours in Heaven. Also, the story of the rich man and Lazarus should tell people that there is Heaven for the righteous and hell for the unrighteous. Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 21:27 KJV

TITLE: MARKETPLACE OR CHURCH? 

KEY TEXT: “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:14 KJV).

Perhaps Jesus Christ would have used chains or metal rods to chase away people from the Church if He was physically on earth today, because of how degrading the Church has become. Jesus Christ chased away those who sold doves and other animals in the synagogue, because it was evil in the sight of God. Today's men of gods are selling handkerchiefs, candles, incense, necklaces, aprons, bracelets, perfumes, powder, and other so-called spiritual materials in their shrines they call churches. Some people even give damnable testimonies like, “Praise the Lord. I thank the god of our papa. I came to papa for deliverance and papa, the man of god, asked me to go to the church’s shop to buy the blood of Jesus, and I bought a liter and drank it, and I was delivered instantly. Praise the Lord!!” Then you would see the so-called man of god proudly seated on his exotic seat, shouting, “Glory, glory, glory to God!” while Jesus Christ is lamenting. Matthew 10:8 KJV

TITLE: YOUR TIME HAS A DURATION

KEY TEXT: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4 KJV). 

It is written: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22 KJV). Many people will read this Scripture and be happy that time and seasons would always be there for them, as long as the earth remains. They forgot that billions of humans have come and gone to eternity from the time this Scripture was written. It was not talking about those who came and went before Moses was born (the first author of the Bible). Moses was given time to do his work. Heaven did not wait when his days on earth were up, Joshua had to come in. Many Christians think they have all the time at their disposal to do the needful. Many do not want to repent of their sins because they feel time is still on their side. Jesus Christ knew He had limited time while on earth to do all that was written of Him. What about you? Matthew 26:24 KJV

 Everyone was born with a unique destiny to glorify God. Unfortunately, most people have redesigned their own destinies for themselves, living their desired lives, going their own ways, and only doing things that please them. Such people have sought out their freedom to the extent that they no longer care if God is the Giver of Life who could take it at any time. The breath in them is used to glorify Satan and not God, the Giver of it. This set of people live to please themselves and men, but definitely not God. Proverbs 14:12 KJV

TITLE: HOW GRATEFUL ARE YOU TO GOD? (PART 1)

KEY TEXT: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 KJV).

Every child who understands the labour of a parent making sure that all his/her needs are met and that all is well with him/her from infancy to adulthood (in health, academics, finance, etc.,) to become independent will do his or her best to succeed in life to make the parents proud. Any child who fails to acknowledge the parents’ efforts, but goes as far as dishonouring the sacrifices of his or her parents and undermining them by living disobediently, is ungrateful. For it is written, “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” Exodus 20:12 KJV

TITLE: YOU CALL THAT CHURCH THE TEMPLE OF GOD?

KEY TEXT: “But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him” (Habakkuk 2:20 KJV).

I wonder what kind of churches we have in this generation according to the Scripture above. If the Church is really recognized as the temple of God, what are comedians doing there? How come when a preacher is preaching, the keyboardist and other instrumentalists are doing their own thing? Have you ever asked them what they learnt from the preaching? If I may ask, are they not supposed to be jotting down what the preacher is preaching? Is the time for preaching not supposed to be a time for sober reflection? What about those who are telling the preacher, “Ride on?” It is written, “The Lord is in His holy temple, let everything keep silence before Him (GOD), Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.” Ecclesiastes 5:1 KJV

 TITLE: OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY

 KEY TEXT: ”But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries” (Exodus 23:22 KJV).

 The Scriptures cannot be broken for anyone. God has given the prerequisite of making Him fight for or bless anyone. He said that if you obey His voice and keep His commands, He will be an enemy to your enemies. It is your obedience that will propel God’s favour. God is always looking for a man who will hear His voice and obey Him promptly. Many children of God are crying about not being delivered from their enemies, but they are the ones who have refused to hear what the Word of God said about their deliverance. Some heard Him but refused to obey the instructions that were given. God will never break His Word to bless man; man is to obey God to get blessings from Him. Hebrews 10:26 KJV

 TITLE: PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD ALONE

 KEY TEXT: "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him" (Psalm 28:7 KJV).

 God is a jealous God, who would never allow His great name to be conjoined with any of His creation to get anything from Him. The burning of candles, praying with sand, stone, and other material things to get God's approval is a grievous sin of idolatry before God. It is a pity that the majority of today's Christians are into chronic idolatry unknowingly, hence, gathering the wrath of God against themselves. Anyone who professes to have his or her trust in God must check himself or herself to see if his or her trust in God is not propelled or hanging on other things. The question the Lord will ask most believers of today when they come before Him at the end would be, “Was your trust in the Lord hanging on other things, but just professing to trust in Jesus Christ?” Many will be disappointed after realising what their deception and craftiness have caused their souls. 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV
