 TITLE: PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD ALONE

 KEY TEXT: "The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him" (Psalm 28:7 KJV).

 God is a jealous God, who would never allow His great name to be conjoined with any of His creation to get anything from Him. The burning of candles, praying with sand, stone, and other material things to get God's approval is a grievous sin of idolatry before God. It is a pity that the majority of today's Christians are into chronic idolatry unknowingly, hence, gathering the wrath of God against themselves. Anyone who professes to have his or her trust in God must check himself or herself to see if his or her trust in God is not propelled or hanging on other things. The question the Lord will ask most believers of today when they come before Him at the end would be, “Was your trust in the Lord hanging on other things, but just professing to trust in Jesus Christ?” Many will be disappointed after realising what their deception and craftiness have caused their souls. 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV

 UNCOMPROMISING FAITH IS REQUIRED: God will never share His glory with anyone or with anything, meaning you cannot merge God's power with a mere mortal man or other substances. God is Sovereign and He must be independently trusted, not adding any subordinate to consolidate His power. God is a jealous God, who does not give or share His glory with anyone. Have you decided to trust God for anything? Trust Him in totality without adding anything to support the name of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 12:2 KJV

 DO YOU HAVE GOD IN YOU? Most believers who profess to trust or depend on God have no trace of God in their hearts. Their hearts are loaded with their faith in their pastors and prophets. Many believers depend on their spiritual fathers or mini gods than the God who created their spiritual fathers. The word of the pastor is more effective to most believers than the Word of God. I am talking about pastors who have taken the place of God in their members' lives. They make their members believe that God must pass through them to bless anyone, making their followers lack complete trust in God alone. Child of God, how ready are you to defend your trust in God when the time comes? Get hold of the Word of God now. Proverbs 8:35 KJV

 PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please have mercy on me, in any way I have trusted on other things to support the trust I have in you. I repent and have decided to trust you alone, as you empower me to follow you daily, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen

 REFLECTION: "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man" (Psalm 118:8 KJV).
