TITLE: DO NOT EXIT THIS WORLD IN IGNORANCE

KEY TEXT: “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27 KJV).

It is baffling to know that some believers still do not understand the meaning of eternity. It worries me a lot when I hear people saying, “Where do people really die and go to?” Does it mean they do not read the Bible to understand that there is life in Heaven and hell after death? The Bible says that those whose names were not written in the Book of Life were cast into the lake of fire, while those who died in the Lord and had their names written in the Lamb's Book of Life rested from all their labours in Heaven. Also, the story of the rich man and Lazarus should tell people that there is Heaven for the righteous and hell for the unrighteous. Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 21:27 KJV

THE NARROW WAY VERSUS THE BROADWAY TO ETERNITY: In Matthew 7:13, the Bible speaks of those on the narrow way versus the broadway and their destinations. So, who are the few on the narrow way who find everlasting life according to the Scripture? Those who have been separated from the world, washed, sanctified, and are doing the will of God in God’s genuine holiness and true righteousness (the standard of holiness approved by God which guarantees one for Heaven). The broad way to destruction involves those living anyhow. Their way of life is not marked by God’s standards and principles for entering Heaven. Matthew 7:21-23 KJV

CHOOSE LIFE AND LIVE AGAIN: The main reason Christ died was to give man the privilege to regain life back after death.  Isaiah 5:14 describes the influx of souls into hell which did not gladden the heart of God, so came Christ to die. He says, “Whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life”, and “except a man is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God”(John 3:5) So, are you born again? First, you must be born again by confessing and forsaking your sins, accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, and He will give you the grace to work out your salvation that will lead you to the Kingdom of Heaven. Philippians 2:12 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, please have mercy on me and all your children who have taken your Word for granted, thinking your words are mere words. Please open our eyes to know there is life after death and give us the grace to repent from our ways, and follow righteousness for the saving of our souls, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”
(Revelation 21:8 KJV).
