TITLE: HOW MUCH DO YOU VALUE JESUS CHRIST?

KEY TEXT: “And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver” (Matthew 26:15 KJV).

Life is all about personal interest and value. Anything one does is all about the interest, friendship, and relationship one has towards anyone or something. Marriage is all about interest. It is one’s interest and value in a particular thing that determines the amount of energy one would deploy into it. One’s interest in the things of God and the value one has for God will determine how far one could go in the journey of eternity with God. The free gift of salvation is valued differently by different people. A man cannot value someone more than what he or she thinks of him or her. Christians value Jesus Christ differently. Some only take Jesus Christ as their Provider, so they only value Him according to what they think He can provide for them at that particular time. They could easily switch to any other source of provision when they think Jesus Christ cannot provide or delays in providing for their needs at a particular time. Psalm 34:10 KJV

I have come to understand and draw the conclusion that God is always ready to bless His children. He is ever ready to deliver His own children when they are in trouble. No wonder it is written, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 1:2 KJV). It is the will of God for His children to enjoy His blessings in all ramifications, but not without the well-being of one's soul. Psalm 68:19 KJV

The problem most believers have today is their ignorance about what God says about them through His Word. I am centred on the believers because the unbelievers could get their promotion through any means; their wealth and riches have nothing to do with God. Anyone could become a billionaire overnight these days, as long as he or she is ready to give up his or her soul for it. So many people that some Christians are aspiring to be like because of their wealth are crying secretly because of what is ahead of them. Mark 8:36-37 KJV

TITLE: REMEMBER JUDGMENT AWAITS YOU

KEY TEXT: "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17 KJV).

The reason many believers including men of God that are supposed to live by example are behaving the way they do is because they are not aware of what is awaiting them. They have no clue about the terror of God. No one with an insight of what is ahead would deliberately engage in sin. Child of God, do you know that someday you will stand before the Almighty and the unquestionable God in judgement? Are you mindful of the fact that God will judge you righteously, and would send you to hellfire if you are found with a blemish on your garment? Have you ever imagined how terrible it would be if you were told by God to depart, and immediately the wind of hellfire pulls your soul from the presence of God into hellfire? Beloved, pondering on these questions, should make you fear God, and totally submit yourself to His will. You should always quiver at the thought of being found guilty of sin before the judgement seat of God. 2 Corinthians 5:11 KJV

TITLE: SERVING GOD WITHOUT OFFENSE IS DEMANDED

KEY TEXT: “And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me” (Matthew 11:6 KJV).

Following Jesus Christ and professing love to Him when things are going well is not a big deal. That is the state of most Christians. They are working in their church and are proud to be Christians because their businesses, jobs, marriages, and everything else is going on fine as they desire it to be. They are in love with the Church and with Christ, as long as things remain the way they want it to be. The same Jesus Christ and the Church they love so much soon become their worst enemy the moment things do not seem to go the way they wish. To them, trials and temptations are no-go areas. They are for Jesus Christ as long as they are having all the temporary blessings at their disposal. It is abnormal before the eyes of natural men for Jesus Christ, whom John the Baptist had announced his ministry to the people, to have heard he was in prison and would not come to take him out of the prison with his authority. lt would seem as if the Lamb of God, who took away the sin of the world, according to His proclamation about Jesus Christ, failed to show up as expected. 2 Corinthians 6:3 KJV

TITLE: THE REALITY COMES AFTER DEATH

The world is a wicked and corrupt place where everyone is free to do anything that is offensive and rebellious to God and that pushes Him to anger. Those who have the mind to rebel against God and His Word are loved and celebrated in this world. The world is a global village of wickedness and iniquity where everyone in it that has the breath of life, is given a free hand to use his or her potential against their Maker. God will never force anyone to obey Him, unlike some religions owned by the ruler of this decaying world, that will force people to follow them against the will of the individual or group of people. Jesus Christ will not force or threaten anyone to follow Him. I have seen and heard of people being killed for saying things about religion, but the world celebrates those saying damnable things about Jesus Christ and His true followers. Matthew 10:28 KJV

TITLE: STOP JOKING WITH THE GREATEST ENEMY OF YOUR SOUL

KEY TEXT: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

Man’s greatest enemy that leads to the bondage of eternal destruction in hellfire is SIN. This three-letter word looks very little and is often very much celebrated and enjoyed, but its devastating consequence is eternal damnation in hellfire. The Bible has categorically warned against anyone who dies in sin (the wages of sin is death). Is it not funny that a lot of people are afraid of death, but are not afraid of sin? The highest penalty that the court of law could give to a crime committed is a death sentence, which many are so afraid of because they do not want to die. But God Almighty has given a death sentence with an eternal and devastating consequence in hellfire to anyone who dies in sin, yet humanity is still very disobedient and enjoy living in sin. Psalm 9:17 KJV

TITLE: THE TRUTH

KEY TEXT: “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” (John 16:13 KJV).

Truth could be suppressed and oppressed but it can never be eliminated. One could try to bury the truth for years, but the truth would be dug out one day. Truth cannot be corrupted, and neither can it be intimidated. Truth does not differentiate between the rich and poor; it stands for whoever rightly deserves it. Unlike falsehood, truth does not lobby to be accepted; it does not fight for recognition, and does not seek public opinions. Anyone who wishes to have a healthy relationship with the truth must be truthful. One cannot make the truth happy by adding to it, and neither can one make the truth feel loved by reducing from it. Truth is who He is and does not stay between two opinions. It is either for or against anyone or anything. The Word of God is truth. Jesus Christ is the Word of God, and God is the Word in Himself. It is a fearful thing trying to manipulate the Word of God. The Word of God is not a book written by a man that could be updated whenever the author feels like it, nor is it a government constitution that could be amended by the parliament to suit the regime's evil ambitions. The Word of God is absolute and needs no human confirmation to know if it is true or not, whether to make use of it or not, or to believe it or leave it. The Word of God stands supreme and sure. Romans 3:4 KJV

TITLE: ARE YOU STILL IN THE FAITH?

With the way things are going in the Body of Christ and with the lukewarmness amongst believers in these dangerous days and perilous times, I fear the question Jesus Christ asked will likely catch up with the majority of believers. Most churches are now replacing the Holy Ghost service of soberness with a comedy talk-show in church services, making jest of the holy ordinances of God. Christians are no more concerned about the reason they were saved, that is if they were saved in the first place. All congregations want is to have fun and be temporarily happy. No wonder Jesus Christ lamented and asked if He will meet faith on the earth when He comes back for the elect. Many have answered the question already with their unrepentant and cruel lifestyles. Luke 18:8 KJV

 This is a generation that is ready to fight their Maker with all their strength and everything they have. This is a generation of people with dark minds that are programmed mostly for evil. People are so engulfed with carrying out evil practices, even at the expense of their lives. That is the extent to which the minds of people have been reprogrammed, not to even think of the havoc they are committing to their souls (if they remember that they have a soul). Even the littlest imagination of man in this generation is geared towards evil. People no longer reason in the fear of God towards what gladdens the heart of God. Even those opening up churches are only aiming at earning money and making a name for themselves. Romans 1:28 KJV
