TITLE: YOUR TIME HAS A DURATION

KEY TEXT: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” (John 9:4 KJV). 

It is written: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease” (Genesis 8:22 KJV). Many people will read this Scripture and be happy that time and seasons would always be there for them, as long as the earth remains. They forgot that billions of humans have come and gone to eternity from the time this Scripture was written. It was not talking about those who came and went before Moses was born (the first author of the Bible). Moses was given time to do his work. Heaven did not wait when his days on earth were up, Joshua had to come in. Many Christians think they have all the time at their disposal to do the needful. Many do not want to repent of their sins because they feel time is still on their side. Jesus Christ knew He had limited time while on earth to do all that was written of Him. What about you? Matthew 26:24 KJV

YOU CANNOT WORK WHEN YOUR TIME IS UP: One has no more rewards for his or her work, no matter how popular one’s message or song becomes after death. One’s best in holiness is needed by God while he or she is still breathing, as a child of God. That is the time to do and complete one’s assignment here on earth. No one cares about one’s work after death. Everyone has a specific assignment or destiny with a time frame that must be fulfilled on earth to the glory of God. It is unfortunate that many are wasting their time not knowing what is ahead of them in eternity. Hebrews 9:27  KJV

TIME IS NOT SUBJECT TO ANYONE: Everyone born into this world has a duration of time, and the earth will tell one to go away once his or her time is up. Anyone who leaves this earth with his or her purpose or destiny unfulfilled has no place in Heaven. One necessarily does not have to stay long on earth like Methuselah, to fulfill his or her God-given assignment. Remember, you must give an account of the time you spent on earth. Are you using your time to do what pleases your carnal mind? Someday, not far away, you will appear before the judgment seat of God to give an account. Are you working for God? I counsel you to work with all your heart and might, and be time conscious. When Christ was on earth, He worked according to His timing. Watch out! Your time is almost up whether it is by the rapture or by death. Remember, you must be born again. Romans 14:12 KJV 

PRAYER: My heavenly Father, have mercy and forgive me, in any way I have been living contrary to the purpose you created me. I repent of my rebellious lifestyle. Grant me the grace to start living a purposeful life and be accurate in all that I do, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Because to every purpose there is time and judgment, therefore the misery of man is great upon him” (Ecclesiastes 8:6 KJV).
