TITLE: BEAR FRUIT OR YOU WILL BE CUT DOWN

KEY TEXT: Revelation 22:12 KJV: “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

As a human being, I want to say well done for every good work you have been doing as a minister, pastor and worker in the vineyard since the Lord selected you. As a human being, I can appreciate you, but there is One who sees more than I see, who will tell you, "Well done", and that 'well done' will be followed by something you never expected. That same God can also call you an unfaithful steward who is not worthy to walk with Him anymore. Luke 16:2

You and I are walking with somebody. Though He is at the front, He sees the last person at the back. He knows everything. Let us imagine that the Lord Jesus Christ has just come now and has come to reward us according to our work. Talk to yourself and ask what you will give account of. What have you been doing, been faithful in and will give account of? 1 Corinthians 4:2

The Lord Jesus Christ has planted us as trees and demands that as trees we bear fruit. We all know that every tree that refuses to bear fruit, something will happen to it. What fruit have you been bearing since you were appointed by heaven to be a member of His vineyard? What have you been doing openly and secretly? Psalm 1:3

PRAYER: Almighty Father, forgive me, in any way I have not been fruitful or faithful in Your work. Grant me the grace to be a good and faithful servant, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Matthew 25:21 KJV: “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
