TITLE: ARE YOU STILL IN THE FAITH?

KEY TEXT: "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 24:44 KJV).

With the way things are going in the Body of Christ and with the lukewarmness amongst believers in these dangerous days and perilous times, I fear the question Jesus Christ asked will likely catch up with the majority of believers. Most churches are now replacing the Holy Ghost service of soberness with a comedy talk-show in church services, making jest of the holy ordinances of God. Christians are no more concerned about the reason they were saved, that is if they were saved in the first place. All congregations want is to have fun and be temporarily happy. No wonder Jesus Christ lamented and asked if He will meet faith on the earth when He comes back for the elect. Many have answered the question already with their unrepentant and cruel lifestyles. Luke 18:8 KJV

WILL YOU STILL BE IN THE FAITH WHEN CHRIST SHALL COME? Maybe the question should be, Are you still in the faith? Many believers that are in the far country of worldliness actually think they are in the faith because they could run to the altar and throw money when the preacher is preaching messages that gladdens their rebellious hearts. How can a child of God stand up from his or her seat to go and drop money on the altar, giving the sacrifices of fools when people are supposed to be lamenting over their errors and repenting over their sins through the message? The Lord knows a rebellious time as this will come; hence, He told you to, “Keep your foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.” Ecclesiastes 5:1 KJV

MANY HAVE DROPPED THEIR CROSS: The Lord foresaw the trouble that would arise in today's world. He knew many will be offended and others will be discouraged because of situations. Many that came to Christ for temporary gain will be blown away by the end-time breeze of discouragement. Many fervent believers will lose hope in Christ, and you would see many backsliders celebrating their freedom from the cross of Christ. My question for myself and anyone reading this message is, Would you also go out of the faith and drop your cross? It is easy to say God forbid! You must reevaluate your salvation now. How content are you? How much do you trust God and rely on the Holy Spirit, and what is your utmost desire as a believer? You will fall out unless the things and enjoyment of this world becomes nothing to you. Colossians 3:1-4 KJV

PRAYER: My Father and my God, please have mercy on me, in any way I have gone out of the faith, thinking I am still in the faith. Restore and grant me the enduring faith to finish well, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24:12-13 KJV).
