TITLE: REMEMBER JUDGMENT AWAITS YOU

KEY TEXT: "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17 KJV).

The reason many believers including men of God that are supposed to live by example are behaving the way they do is because they are not aware of what is awaiting them. They have no clue about the terror of God. No one with an insight of what is ahead would deliberately engage in sin. Child of God, do you know that someday you will stand before the Almighty and the unquestionable God in judgement? Are you mindful of the fact that God will judge you righteously, and would send you to hellfire if you are found with a blemish on your garment? Have you ever imagined how terrible it would be if you were told by God to depart, and immediately the wind of hellfire pulls your soul from the presence of God into hellfire? Beloved, pondering on these questions, should make you fear God, and totally submit yourself to His will. You should always quiver at the thought of being found guilty of sin before the judgement seat of God. 2 Corinthians 5:11 KJV 

YOU MUST STOP DISOBEYING THE GOSPEL: Have you meditated on the question in (1 Peter 4:17b) that says, “What shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel?” So many Christians do not put this question into consideration. They take the Word of God as the word of man. They obey the ones that favour their selfish needs. The unchanging answer to the question is damnation in hellfire. Maybe some Christians think they are mature enough to look down on the Scriptures. They have become the god of themselves and their followers. The gospel means nothing to them anymore. They are the generals, and have grown beyond the likes of Apostle Paul. Child of God, be careful and fear God. You will eternally regret it if you end your life in hellfire. Repent and start living according to the gospel in total submission and in the fear of God. Romans 2:2 KJV

DO NOT SETTLE WITH MAN'S APPROVAL: Unfortunately, so many Christians fail to realise that their approval must come from God and not man. They are being deceived by the praises of men (John 2:23-25). They are careless, not verifying their relationship with their Maker anymore. Even though many men of God are approved by their followers, unfortunately, they are nowhere to be found in the Book of Life. Many people are known by their pastors as good Christians, but they are unknown by God. What a shame it would be after all you think you have done, despite all the praises from people, for your acclaimed service unto the Lord, and yet you get to the judgement seat of God and was told, "I never knew you, depart from me!" Beloved, search yourself right now and make the necessary amendments. You will surely face God one day, whether you like it or not, take it or leave it. It is a painful but gainful advice that the children of God need now. Give your life to Jesus Christ if you are not yet born again. Matthew 7:21-23 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I do not want to live my life for the praise of men anymore, neither do I want to be approved by men and be condemned by you on the last day. Please, Lord, grant me the grace to live a life worthy of your approval, as I totally surrender to your will that will see me through to your Kingdom, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: "So then, every one of us shall give account of himself to God" (Romans 14:12 KJV).
