The spirit of envy is a spirit every true believer should take time out to pray against. Envy has sent so many people into an early grave. This four-letter word "envy" has sent a lot of souls into hellfire. There's no place this spirit cannot operate. It has torn many families apart, destroyed many churches, and turned best friends into enemies. Cain and Abel were once happy siblings who did things in common with joy and love until Cain opened his heart to the spirit of envy. Genesis 4:3-10 KJV

It's written that except the Lord build a house, the builder build in vain, except the Lord watch over the city, they that watch are watching in vain. It means that anything one does without the consent of God or outside the will and help of God is nothing but a waste of time. A lot of people have used their own carnal wisdom to plan their lives over the years and nothing good came out, but frustration and disappointment all along. Psalm 9:10 KJV

God demands that anyone doing His work should be clean and remain clean. It's totally non-negotiable for those who choose to walk with God and to work for Him to keep themselves away from sin. Those walking with God are supposed to have the mindset of holiness. For it's written: "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV

The reason many people are not willing to give their lives to Jesus Christ is because they are trying to preserve what the devil has given them. They fear they would be confined to holiness in so many things. They know that the things that use to give them pleasure would be withdrawn from them. They also know that there is the probability of worldly friends going away, and life would become restricted in so many ways. John 12:25 KJV

Beloved, how could you say, "I reject hellfire in Jesus' mighty name," while living in the far country of sin and iniquity? You don't bind sin or hell, you run far away from them. When you commit sin, you are walking towards the direction of hell. The Word of God says that all sinners will find themselves in the lake of fire. Romans 6:23 KJV

It beats my imagination to see how people are struggling to see their names written in various worldly books of records. They would lie, manipulate, kill, etc., to see their reputed names in a book that would get burnt someday, but forgetting the actual book that they should have done all they could to get their names written in. Some fight so hard to get the highest degrees; their names are written in almost all the high ranking institutions, but they forget the actual degree that would keep them for eternity. John 6:27 KJV

God is a God of perfection; no one can manipulate or cajole Him. It would be counted as chronic foolishness for one to be displaying outward show of holiness and righteousness without first cleansing the inside. Complete holiness is demanded of anyone who wants to make it to heaven. "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God" declares the Bible. Do you still need anyone to tell you to purge your heart from evil? 1 Peter

What else does one need than life? All the struggle, stress, the worshipping of idols, people selling their souls to the devil, all the killings, looting of government treasuries, men and women of god burying people on their altars, some using satanic powers to do the work of their god, drug dealing, prostitution, and other dubious things that people engage themselves into is all done to get life for themselves.
