KEY TEXT: Joshua 24:14 KJV: “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.”

God is demanding that His children go back to the word. It is the everlasting demand of God. You are making Him angry by saying, "My G.O. says". He wants to start hearing, "Thus says the Lord"; the word, “It is written”. The only word that cannot fail is the written word of God. The Lord demands total dependence. He wants His children to totally depend on Him. Matthew 4:7

KEY TEXT: Revelation 14:7 KJV: “Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

We must attach the fear of God to anything before we do it. But today, we have succeeded in abandoning the fear of God. We are now living in the fear of man. No problem. At the end of your life, we shall know who was supposed to be feared; if it is your GO, you were supposed to be afraid of, or God Almighty. We will know who will be the last person to laugh. Continue mocking as people are celebrating you. Jeremiah 2:19

There is one thing that God will not stop demanding from the children of God, and that is the honor, and fear that is due to a Father and Master. If He is our Father and Master as we proclaim, we must fear Him. We see today how we fear men, how people fear their General Overseers, and are ready to use their head to defend them; even though they see the man doing the wrong thing. Psalms 66:2

LIVING IN THE SPIRIT:
Romans 8:6 contrasts the outcomes of different mindsets: "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." A spiritual mindset, focused on God's truths, results in a sound mind. JOHN 8:32

THE MIND OF CHRIST:
Philippians 2:5 encourages us to emulate Christ: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus." Having the mind of Christ involves humility, obedience, and love, leading to mental and emotional soundness. 2 CORINTHIANS 2:16

STRENGTH THROUGH CHRIST: Philippians 4:13 assures us of strength in Christ: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Relying on Christ's strength helps us overcome challenges and maintain mental stability. ROMANS 12:2

CONTENTMENT IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES: Paul speaks of contentment in Philippians 4:11: "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Contentment, irrespective of circumstances, is a key aspect of a sound mind. PHILIPPIANS 4:4

CASTING DOWN IMAGINATIONS: God is not like man that only sees the outward appearance of others. He sees the imagination and intent of the heart, hence we must be sure our hearts are void of evil imaginations. 2 Corinthians 10:5 instructs us to reject negative thoughts: "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." Controlling our thoughts is essential for a sound mind. PROVERBS 4:23
