TITLE: THE NON-CONTROVERSIAL POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 9)

KEY TEXT: ROMANS 15:13 KJV, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.“

The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth because everything about the Holy Spirit is true. He has nothing to do with falsehood, because He is pure in all sense. Anyone having a relationship with the Holy Spirit must be ready to live a life void of lies and hypocrisy. No liar can have a safe or smooth ride with the Holy Spirit. One must be free from the bondage of falsehood to have a joyful journey with the Holy Spirit. JOHN 16:13 KJV 

The Holy Spirit is self-sufficient spirit of God; He has no reason to lie to anyone. The reason people lie is because they want to escape from punishment, or gain favour, or have their personal needs met. Unlike the natural man, the Holy Spirit does not need anything from anyone. He cannot be promoted, demoted, or killed by the creation. No one can threaten Him with anything. 1 CHRONICLES 29:11 KJV 

There are things that God wants to tell certain people but cannot because of their  carnal mind. The Holy Spirit always goes deep into anything that He does, whereas the carnal man cannot go into the deep things of the spirit. If the truth comes and one does not have the Holy Spirit, he/she will not be able to retain it (as it will be too hard to bear). That is why some people get angry or discouraged whenever they hear the painful but gainful truth of the gospel. When someone has the Spirit of God, he or she will be guided into all truth. JOHN 16:12-13 KJV

PRAYER: My Father and my God, please have mercy on me and release the spirit of truth upon me that will guide me into all truth, as I travel through the narrow way, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come” (JOHN 16:12-13 KJV).
