TITLE: HOW DEDICATED ARE YOU TO GOD? (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: 1 John 3:22 KJV: “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”

God expects everyone that truly wants to do His will to be fully dedicated to Him. God does not welcome part-time dedication, and anyone who professes to follow Jesus Christ and looking back is not fit for the Kingdom of God. Believers’ dedication to God is sustained through prayer, and communion with Him.

Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer, and supplication with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep our hearts, and minds through Christ Jesus. LUKE 9:62

Dedication to God involves persevering in faith, even amidst trials. James 1:12 assures us saying, “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” Our dedication to God is tested and strengthened through adversity. ROMANS 8:35-39

Ultimately, dedication to God leads to eternal life and fellowship with Him. Anyone who wants to serve God and enter His kingdom must avoid serving two masters. One cannot be a lover of this world, and profess to be a lover of God at the same time. 1 John 5:11-12 declares, "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." Our dedication to God ensures our eternal inheritance in His kingdom. 1 THESSALONIANS 2:4

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I desire to do your will and be fully and truly dedicated to you. Grant me the grace never to look back as I place my hands on the plough, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name Amen.

REFLECTION: ROMANS 6:16 KJV: “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
