TITLE: HOW DEDICATED ARE YOU TO GOD?

KEY TEXT: 1 Peter 5:6 KJV: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

Dedication to God begins with recognizing His sovereignty and giving Him our utmost reverence. As Psalm 95:6 says, "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker." It is essential to approach God with humility and awe, acknowledging His authority over our lives. Psalm 32:8

Our dedication to God involves committing our hearts and minds to His ways. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding, but to acknowledge Him in all our ways, and He will direct our paths. Revelation 14:12

Dedication to God requires obedience to His commandments. In John 14:15, Jesus says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." Our love for God is demonstrated through our obedience to His Word, aligning our actions with His will. Colossians 3:17

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me for thinking I was dedicated to you, whereas I was still in charge of myself. I repent today. Please help me to totally surrender all to your will, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Romans 12:1 KJV: “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
