Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ want you to trust Him and rest your case on Him alone. Jeremiah 17:7, He does not want you to share His glory with anyone, not even with your own self. Remember, cursed is any man that trust in man and make flesh his arm and whose heart depart from God. Jeremiah 17:5, So, you are only adding sorrow to shame when ever you forget God and start running after men for help.

NOTE 
God does not waist His blessings. So, it is not everyone that just ask Him of blessings that He gives to, though that is what He will to do. But He is a holy God and His gifts and blessings are holy too. You must call on Him in holiness and in total repentance from your sins. Mathew 7 : 6

Be sure you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savour. John 3:3, Confess all your sins to Him with a sincere heart. He will wash you clean and establish a relationship with you. 1 John 1:9

Remember, the bible said in Mathew 6 : 33 that we must seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and those things that other people are killing themselves for will be an addition to the manifold blessings that the Lord will give to you spiritually.

The Lord does not only want to bless you with physical blessing, 3 John 1:2, He is more concerned about your spiritual wellbeing and your life in eternity.

Also remember that everything you gained here on earth means nothing if you lose your soul at the end. God want to preserve your soul for eternity in heaven. So, you must do everything to cooperate with Him in all things. Mark 8:36 says for what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul.

Learn to trust God in everything, even with the saving of your soul for eternity.
