TITLE: REMEMBERING THE NEW LIFE GIVEN BY CHRIST

KEY TEXT: John 10:28 KJV: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

NEW LIFE GIVEN: At the time of salvation, believers are given a new lease of life. We were en route to eternal death, which was eternal death and anguish in hell. We were walking around as if we lived. We were alive yet dead. Did you know that any soul that ends up in hell is eternally in death? And from this end, Christ has set us free. Remembering the sacrifice given to us through Christ will help you appreciate the great salvation given to you. Romans 5:17

LIVE FOR GOD: We live by the sacrifice of the only begotten Son of God. He paid the price that sin demanded. We were indebted because of our sins. How could we have paid such a price? The price that neither we or our parents could pay. But Jesus Christ, the propitiation of our sins, paid the price. He did not pay half at first then the rest later. No, but He paid the price and the debt that we owed in full. He did not owe the debt but He paid it, so must we reciprocate this generosity by living a life sold to Christ. Romans 6:23

THE CALL TO NEW LIFE: So, if you have not received Christ today, it is crucial to receive Him. To remember Him for His wondrous acts, know that He has given us the victory once and for all over sin in our lives through our profession unto salvation. Do not fall prey to the tricks of the enemy again or let the truth that you know today become a lie to you tomorrow. We now live this life not to please ourselves, but we live this life to righteousness, to please God, and to do His will. Hold fast to the new life given to you in Christ in holiness and righteousness. John 10:10-11

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to hold fast the new life that you have given to me, and allow not the plans of the enemy to bring me back to a life of sin, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Ephesians 2:8 KJV: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
