TITLE: COURAGE DEMYSTIFIED (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: MICAH 6:8 KJV: "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

There’s also the courage to forgive, which is one of the most difficult forms of bravery. "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you" (Matthew 6:14). Holding onto anger or resentment can feel like protecting ourselves from further hurt, but forgiveness requires us to let go and open ourselves to healing. MARK 11:25

It takes courage to forgive others and ourselves, to release the pain of the past and make room for peace in the present. As we are reminded, "Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" (Ephesians 4:32). Forgiveness is a courageous act of love, one that brings healing not only to the person who forgives but also to those around them. MATTHEW 18:21-22

Ultimately, courage is a practice. It’s not a one-time event but a series of decisions made each day. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). Some days, courage looks like a grand gesture, and other days it’s simply getting out of bed to face another day. It’s the choice to live with integrity, authenticity, and kindness, even when the world around us is filled with challenges. "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord" (Psalm 27:14). In small and big ways, courage shapes the course of our lives, leading us toward growth, purpose, and fulfillment. PROVERBS 10:28

PRAYER: O Lord my God, grant me the grace and courage to face daily challenges and to live justly in the world full of evil and wickedness, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: MATTHEW 5:48 KJV: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
