*TITLE: COURAGE DEMYSTIFIED (PART 3)*

*KEY TEXT: PHILIPPIANS 4:8 KJV: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”*

*Standing up for others is another form of courage. When we witness injustice or cruelty, it can be tempting to stay silent out of fear of backlash. But true courage calls us to speak up, even when our voice trembles. The Word reminds us, "Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction" (Proverbs 31:8).*

*It requires us to act, not for recognition or reward, but because it is the right thing to do. As it is written, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). In doing so, we become agents of change, helping to create a more just and compassionate world. PROVERBS 10:6*

*At times, courage involves patience. "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing" (James 1:4). It’s easy to want immediate results or to rush towards the finish line, but courage often means staying the course, even when the process is slow or the outcome is uncertain. As Scripture teaches, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9). It is the quiet, steady determination to keep going when others have given up. Whether it’s in personal goals, relationships, or professional endeavors, the courage to persevere can be just as powerful as any bold, heroic action. HABAKKUK 2:4*

*PRAYER: O Lord, my God, grant me the courage to always stand up for what is right and just. Give me steadfast grace to run my heavenly race till the end, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.*
