TITLE: MAINTAINING A STATE OF SOUND MIND (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: Proverbs 4:23 KJV: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

STRENGTH THROUGH CHRIST: Philippians 4:13 assures us of strength in Christ: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Relying on Christ's strength helps us overcome challenges and maintain mental stability. ROMANS 12:2

CONTENTMENT IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES: Paul speaks of contentment in Philippians 4:11: "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." Contentment, irrespective of circumstances, is a key aspect of a sound mind. PHILIPPIANS 4:4

THE POWER OF A SOUND MIND: 2 Timothy 1:7 reiterates the divine nature of a sound mind: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Embracing this gift leads to a life of peace and purpose. PHILIPPIANS 4:8 

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please remove this stony heart from me and give me your kind of heart and mind, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: Isaiah 26:3 KJV: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
