TITLE: DIVINE SETTLEMENT (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 13:5 KJV: "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee"

The story of Ruth is a profound example of divine settlement. After losing her husband, Ruth remained faithful to Naomi and to God. Her loyalty and faith led to her marriage to Boaz and her inclusion in the lineage of Jesus Christ. "So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son" (Ruth 4:13).

Divine settlement is also evident in the story of Job. Despite his immense suffering, God restored Job's fortunes. "And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before" (Job 42:10). This restoration highlights God's power to settle us beyond our previous state.

 In the New Testament, the apostle Paul experienced divine settlement through his missionary journeys. Despite facing numerous hardships, Paul acknowledged God's provision and support. "And my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please have mercy on me and turn my story into your glory for divine settlement, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: PSALM 126:1 KJV: "When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream."
