TITLE: DIVINE SETTLEMENT (PART 1)

KEY TEXT: HOSEA 11:11 KJV: “They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.”


Divine settlement is a manifestation of God's plan to bring peace, stability, and fulfillment to His people. It signifies a time when God intervenes in our lives to resolve our challenges and establish us firmly in His blessings. As the Psalmist declares, "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come" (Psalm 102:13).

The concept of divine settlement is rooted in the Bible, where God consistently promises to settle His people in a place of abundance and peace. For instance, in Exodus 23:20, God reassures the Israelites, saying, “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.” ZEPHANIAH 1:12

In the book of Jeremiah, God promises restoration and settlement to His people after their period of exile. "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD" (Jeremiah 30:17). This illustrates God's commitment to turning our situations around and settling us in a place of wholeness. PSALM 119:89

PRAYER: Father Lord, please grant me and my family divine settlement that we might be able to do your will effectively, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 1 Chronicles 17:14 KJV: “..but I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.”
