TITLE: MAINTAINING A STATE OF SOUND MIND (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Romans 12:2 KJV: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING: The pursuit of wisdom is crucial for a sound mind. Proverbs 2:6 says, "For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding." Seeking wisdom from God and understanding what the will of God is in all that one does, helps us make sound decisions and maintain mental stability. 1 CORINTHIANS 2:16 

GUARDING OUR HEARTS: Proverbs 4:23 advises, "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Protecting our hearts from negative influences ensures that our minds remain sound and focused on God's truth. We must guide our hearts from negativity and do all we could to be positive no matter what the situation may be. PHILIPPIANS 4:8

RENEWING THE MIND: Romans 12:2 emphasizes the renewal of the mind: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." We must renew our mind daily with the word of God to avoid being corrupted with the deceitful lust of the flesh and worldly enticement. A renewed mind aligns with God's will, fostering peace and soundness. JOSHUA 1:8 

PRAYER: Guide my heart and mind from every form of corruption, O Lord, and keep me in the perfect state of sound mind, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen 

REFLECTION : Colossians 2:8 KJV: "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."
