*TITLE: A LIFESTYLE VOID OF HYPOCRISY IS DEMANDED (PART 3)*

*KEY TEXT: Proverbs 11:3 KJV: “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.”*

*In the book of Proverbs, Solomon offers wisdom on the dangers of hypocrisy, stating, "He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool" (Proverbs 10:18 KJV). This proverb underscores the foolishness of concealing true feelings behind deceitful words, highlighting the value of honesty. 2 CORINTHIANS 8:21*

*Jesus also illustrates the futility of hypocritical judgment in His parable about the speck and the plank: "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?" (Matthew 7:3 KJV). This parable teaches the importance of self-examination and humility before criticizing others. PROVERBS 12:22*

*The book of Galatians provides further insight about the dangers of hypocrisy within the Christian community. Paul confronts Peter for his inconsistent behavior, stating, "But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?" (Galatians 2:14 KJV). This incident underscores the need for consistency and transparency in upholding the gospel's truth. PROVERBS 19:1*

*PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I repent of the life of self-deception today. Have mercy on me, and grant me the grace to always be real and truthful in all that I do, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.*
