TITLE: BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Philippians 4:6 KJV: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

To be anxious means to be worried, disquieted or to be greatly concerned, especially about the unknown. Many are worrying what will become of their future to the extent they cannot pray anymore. You worry about a life partner; God gives you one. You then worry whether you will conceive, and you conceive. Afterward you worry whether you will deliver safely, you deliver safely, and the cycle continues. This trend of worry can amount to heart failure. Colossians 3:2

What you need to do, is to commit your ways into God's hands. If Job had that kind of a worrying heart, he would have fallen prey to the hands of the devil. Anxiety places you in an unpleasant state of uneasiness. Don't give place to the devil. The devil will give you an assignment, to make you forget the most pressing need, you need to pay attention to. That is why you need to be spiritually focused, your life is not measured by the things you have acquired, what matters is your relationship with God and how you are heavenly focused. 2 Corinthians 2:11

People have taken wrong decisions today, because they were anxious about life. They did not follow the word of God. They are into wrong marriages and living miserably. Anxiety is a state of restlessness, but when you put God first in everything, you will be relaxed. What gives joy is godliness with contentment.

1 Timothy 6:6

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me for allowing worry and anxiety to take over my life. Help me to fix my eyes on You always, in every situation, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Isaiah 26:3 KJV: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
