TITLE: YOU ARE MANDATED TO EVANGELIZE (PART 2)

KEY TEXT: Luke 19:10 KJV: "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."

Evangelism is not merely a duty but a privilege for believers to participate in God's redemptive plan for humanity. Romans 1:16 declares, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." This passage reaffirms the transformative power of the gospel and encourages believers to boldly proclaim it to all, regardless of cultural or social distinctions. 1 TIMOTHY 2:4-6

The essence of evangelism lies in the proclamation of God's love and mercy, inviting individuals to enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. John 3:16 encapsulates this message, stating, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Evangelism, therefore, serves as a beacon of hope, offering salvation and eternal life to those who respond in faith to the gospel call. JOHN 3:17-18

As ambassadors of Christ, believers are called to embody the message they proclaim through their words and actions. 2 Corinthians 5:20 implores, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." This verse underscores the responsibility of believers to live out the gospel message authentically, demonstrating the transformative power of Christ's love in their lives and inviting others to experience the same redemption and reconciliation with God. ACTS 1:8

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I receive the grace to love and seek for dying souls for the Kingdom as you do, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 2 Timothy 4:5 KJV: “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”
