TITLE: YOU ARE MANDATED TO EVANGELIZE

KEY TEXT: Mark 16:15 KJV: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

Evangelism, as exemplified in the teachings of Jesus Christ, is the commission to spread the gospel and share the Good News of salvation to all nations. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands His disciples, saying, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." This mandate emphasizes the importance of evangelism as a fundamental aspect of the Christian faith. LUKE 19:10

The urgency of evangelism is underscored in Mark 16:15, where Jesus instructs His followers to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." This directive reflects the inclusive nature of evangelism, calling believers to share the message of salvation indiscriminately, reaching out to people from all walks of life and backgrounds. 2 TIMOTHY 4:5

Acts 1:8 further emphasizes the scope of evangelism, stating, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." This verse highlights the divine empowerment bestowed upon believers through the Holy Spirit to fulfill the mission of evangelism, starting from their immediate surroundings and extending to the ends of the earth. ROMANS 1:16

PRAYER: O Lord my God, have mercy on me for failing in this great commission. I repent today. Grant me the grace for fervent evangelism, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 1 Peter 3:15 KJV: “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
