TITLE: COME OUT OF PRETENSE AND HYPOCRISY (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Luke 6:42 KJV: “Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.”

We must work on ourselves before telling others what to do so that the people we are preaching to will not fly away on the last day while we are left behind. It will be a shame. This goes to the men of God also who preach to others. The Lord sets the same exams for those you are preaching to and you, the preacher.  The devil knows that we (men of God) are preaching to others. So we must do everything possible to make sure we live by what we are preaching. Romans 2:22

Are we practicing what we are preaching? Are we not doing the same things we are telling others not to do? Such as gossiping, lying, committing adultery, stealing, etc? Somebody is taking inventory of everything. You are living for your members so they will know you are a true man of God, but God is saying He does not know you. Let us come out of hypocrisy because someday everything will be revealed. Matthew 15:7-9

The Pharisees and Sadducees were eloquent in preaching and dressed gorgeously in robes for people to recognize them as men of God but were wolves inside, living the life they wanted to live, not the life of Christ Jesus. By their fruits we shall know them. I may pretend to be holy, but the Creator knows the fruit I am really bearing. Are we doing the will of the Father? If we are, are we doing it right? Is it for God or for men to see? Matthew 7:16

PRAYER: Almighty God, search the fruit I am bearing. If it is not the fruit you are expecting me to bear, pluck it out, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Job 13:16 KJV: “He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.”
