TITLE: UPHOLDING YOUR INTEGRITY AS A BELIEVER

KEY TEXT: Proverbs 10:9 KJV: “He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.”

Introduction to Integrity: Integrity is the cornerstone of moral character, the steadfast commitment to honesty, truthfulness, and righteousness in all aspects of life. In Proverbs 11:3, it is written, 'The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.' This verse underscores the importance of integrity as a guiding principle that leads the righteous on the path of virtue and protects them from the consequences of deceit. Proverbs 20:7

The Power of Integrity in Relationships: Integrity forms the foundation of trustworthy relationships, as echoed in Ephesians 4:25: 'Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.' This scripture emphasizes the importance of sincerity and transparency in our interactions with others. When we uphold integrity in our relationships, we foster trust, respect, and unity, strengthening the bonds that unite us as true followers of Christ. 1 John 4:7-10

Living with Integrity as a Witness to Faith: As followers of faith, we are called to embody integrity not only in our words but also in our actions. In Titus 2:7-8, it states, 'In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned.' This passage underscores the significance of integrity as a testament to our commitment to living out our beliefs with sincerity and conviction. By exemplifying integrity in all aspects of our lives,  become shining witnesses to the transformative power of our faith in Christ. 1 Peter 3:15

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me, in any way I have given the unbelievers occasion to mock your name by not upholding my integrity. Forgive me, and grant me the grace to shine forth your light in every condition, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Proverbs 28:6 KJV: “Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.”
