TITLE: BACK TO THE GENUINE LOVE OF CHRIST (PART 4)

KEY TEXT: 1 John 4:20 KJV: “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”

If you say you love God and hate your brother according to the key text, you are a liar. If you were genuine enough, you would know that you hate somebody. If we are truly sincere about loving one another, we would do all we can to make others happy. I would not keep malice with you, sleep with your spouse, put a stumbling block for you to fall in your Christian race, if I truly love you. 1 Thessalonians 3:12

If anyone brings your matter to me for evil, I will stop them and tell them to sort it out with you instead. But we will gather, discuss it and nail others to the cross. Fighting one another, stabbing, mocking, backbiting one another, makes us liars and hypocrites. If we don't change today, hell is guaranteed. The Bible says that he that hates his brother is a murderer.  Would an unrepentant murderer have a place in Heaven? There is no single murderer in heaven, and you would not be the first person to enter there. 1 John 3:14-17

Let us stop the stage-managed, hypocritical love we are doing and love genuinely. The only way we can be bold before God in heaven is when we have settled all our differences with everyone on earth. If you are keeping malice, gossiping about anybody, refusing to help those you are supposed to, and you stand before the Lord that way, you will be flogged to hell. Acts 24:16

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, search my heart. Remove any hypocritical spirit in me and grant me the spirit to love genuinely, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: 1 Peter 1:22 KJV: “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.”
