TITLE: BACK TO THE GENUINE LOVE OF CHRIST (PART 3)

KEY TEXT: Romans 12:9 KJV: “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.”

The kind of love practiced by many believers today is a stage-managed one. They will act as if they love you in your presence, but behind your back, they can stab and kill you. If you search your heart very well, you will know that that is the kind of heart you are having for that person you think you love. But God is saying to you and I today that if we want to go to Him in heaven, we must practice His kind of love - genuine love. The kind that burns from the inside. Ephesians 4:2

The love that wouldn't see another person crying and be rejoicing over what they are crying for, because that is satanism. Do we prefer others better than ourselves? We want to be highly rated while others are down there. Jesus commands that we must in honour prefer one another if we are to come to Him. We must practice this love. Romans 12:10

Christians would say they love God so much. They would say that they go for evangelism, read Divine Inspiration, talk about holiness to show their love for Him, among others. But is that the kind of love Jesus is talking about? Truly many of us love God with all our hearts, we are ready to do God's work with all our strength. But what is all this waste of time for? Doing all the work without going back to the genuine love of Christ is a waste of time and will land one in hell. Deuteronomy 6:5

PRAYER: Any power making me not to love the way I should love, I cast you out of my life, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: Ephesians 5:2 KJV: “And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
