TITLE: BACK TO THE GENUINE LOVE OF CHRIST

KEY TEXT: Romans 5:8 KJV: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Many Christians today say, “Grace, grace”, forgetting that if love was not there, grace would not come. Many of us are calling grace and want to make it to Heaven without living the life Christ wants us to live. I would say, let us pause and go back to the genuine love of Christ. Many of us have missed it and the Lord is telling us to go back to His love, if we must come to Him in Heaven. Titus 2:11-12

Many Christians are walking in the grace of God, but fail to understand that there was no grace without the love of Jesus Christ. Many of us do not have genuine love in our hearts, yet saying, “Grace, grace”. It was the love of God that extended grace through Jesus Christ to humanity. Many of us are saying we want to extend the grace of God, but Christ is saying before you can extend His grace, live in His love. Don't leave the first thing and begin to pursue what follows it. Romans 5:5

It was the love that Christ had for us that made Him leave His throne to die for us, and give us the grace to live for Him. The grace we are experiencing today, that many of us say, “We are no more under the law but under grace”, was brought by the love of God. If not for love, Christ wouldn't have died for us. He is also commending us today that we should also live in such love. John 3:16

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, empower me to live in Your love, even as I call on Your grace daily, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: John 15:10 KJV: “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.”
