TITLE: INVEST YOUR GIVEN TALENT

KEY TEXT: Luke 19:13 KJV: “And he called his ten  servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”

This is a parable of the ten servants that were given talents by a king, to occupy and invest till he comes back from the far country where he went to receive a kingdom. What a wonderful king, he didn't leave them empty handed, rather he gave them money for investment and warned all the servants to create a profitable occupation for themselves, hoping to gain profit from their investment. Luke 19:12-15

Lesson From The Profitable Servants: The Bible said that the profitable servants went and traded with the money given to them. Note that the condition of trade wasn't pleasant since the citizens never wanted the king to reign over them, according to the scripture. It is understood that they would do everything to frustrate them. You could  relate it to the world we are living in, but they never gave up. They traded and gained, and glory be to God that they were rewarded. Luke 19:16-18

Lesson From The Unprofitable Servant: Many believers today are like the unprofitable servant. The Lord, in His infinite mercy, has given everyone gift and talent to occupy with till He comes. The Lord called the unprofitable servant a wicked servant, not that he squandered the money nor was covetous, but because he kept the money and refused to trade with it. What are you doing for God with your talent? You will  answer the question before God very soon. Luke 19:19-21

PRAYER: O Lord, have mercy on me, in any way I have been an unprofitable servant. Please show me my talent, and grant me the grace to manifest it to the profiting of the Body of Christ, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen

REFLECTION: Matthew 24:46 KJV: “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
