 TITLE: TOMORROW IS NOT GUARANTEED

 KEY TEXT: LUKE 9:59, 61 KJV: “And he said unto another, follow me, But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.”

 Just as Jesus Christ narrated in the key text, so are many unsaved people procrastinating their salvation. Many who professed to be saved are procrastinating doing God's work. They want to enjoy the pleasure of sin or do their own things first before they would give up for Jesus Christ. Don't forget many souls have died and gone to hellfire before the time they were hoping to have comfortably  surrendered to Christ. Beloved of God, the life of man is not in his power to control. You have no power over the next second. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who knows your number of days on earth needs you now. Stop saying tomorrow because you may be disappointed to see yourself in eternity. Revelation 3:20, James 4:13

 Some Christians are the architect of the delays in their destiny fulfilment. How would you expect the Lord to help you fulfil your destiny when you are working opposite of His will concerning you, and not doing anything to see the work of His kingdom move forward? How would your destiny not suffer delay when you are procrastinating the work God is expecting you to do for Him? You are selfishly thinking about yourself and  family; the work of God means nothing to you, yet you expect God to make you His priority? Proverbs 20:4

 So many Christians are running from pastor to pastor, church to church, looking for blessings in their rebellious lifestyle. Even Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, told us in John 9:4 that he must do the works of him that sent him, while it is day: for the night cometh when no one can work. Jesus Christ told His Father to glorify Him for He had glorified His Father on earth. But to you, what are you telling God to bless you for? Is it for making His work suffer, or is it for bringing shame to His name due to your sinful lifestyle or for keeping Him waiting and seeing His work suffering? Matthew 6:33

 PRAYER: My Father, my God, please have mercy on me for delaying my salvation and letting your work suffer setback all this while. Please show me the work I must do on earth for you, and grant me the grace to start and finish it before I come back home, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

 REFLECTION: Proverbs 27:1 KJV: “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”
