TITLE: THE NON-CONTROVERSIAL POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (PART 10)

KEY TEXT: Hebrews 7:25 KJV, “Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”

The Holy Spirit is the interceding power of God. Do you want to be an effective and productive intercessor? You need the Holy Spirit in your life, because a carnal person cannot intercede in prayer. One also does not become an intercessor out of emotion or because he or she loves to pray. Jesus Christ had the Holy Spirit and was a prayer warrior while He was on His earthly mission to redeem mankind, and till today, He is still interceding for the souls of men. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV 

When the Holy Spirit enters a person, the first thing he or she feels is godly love. True intercessors are loving, forgiving, and do not react anyhow to issues. Everything about an intercessor should be how to bring people together. The Spirit will always direct you on what to pray about and how to direct the prayer as a Holy Spirit filled intercessor. Praying carnally is a waste of time, energy and a form of rebellion. Romans 8:26-27 KJV

The Holy Spirit must be involved in anything that has to do with prayer, except those who are end-time Pharisees that use their prayers as a public show. Those who truly want things to happen when they pray, must pray in the spirit. The Holy Spirit is the one that prays in a believer and also the one that channels the prayer to God; therefore, every true believer needs the Holy Spirit because every true Christian is an intercessor. Romans 8:26 KJV.

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, release the spirit of an  intercessor on me and make me a channel of hope to the oppressed, as I intercede through the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men” (1 Timothy 2:1 KJV).
