TITLE: THE LOVE GOSPEL OF SELFISHNESS 

KEY TEXT: “Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your conscience (2 Corinthians 5:11 KJV).

People have told me to stop talking or preaching about what is happening in the Body of Christ. According to them, I should not warn the people about what is going on but preach the gospel to them. Some say that there is no need of preaching about hell and the consequences of sin, rather I should preach about the death and resurrection of Christ. I have read the Old and New Testament, and nowhere was the consequence of sin and hell (which is the final destination for the unrepentant sinners) hidden from the people. MATTHEW 13:50 KJV

SELFISH GENERATION: Many so-called men of God are not preaching about hell because they do not want to scare the unrepentant people from their church. Jesus Christ Himself preached about hell, and the apostles preached about it, too. Jesus Christ never stopped to open the eyes of His followers about the hypocrisy and evil works of the Pharisees and other stomach-infrastructure preachers during His earthly ministry. The prophets of old never stopped warning the people about the deeds of the false prophets. We are living in a very cruel generation of believers. MATTHEW 25:46 KJV

FALSE LOVE: Most men on the pulpits today are preaching love unto destruction. What parents would tell their children to be serious about their education without letting them know what the future holds for those who are not serious about the future? How would one tell his or her daughter to keep herself without telling her the consequences of being promiscuous? Many are only preaching to increase their church’s congregation and not the Kingdom of God. 1 THESSALONIANS 1:9 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, please deliver me from the damnable gospel and selfish men on pulpits, who value their pockets more than the souls that Jesus Christ died for, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched” (Mark 9:43 KJV).
