 TITLE: BEING HONEST IN A WORLD OF DISHONESTY

 KEY TEXT: “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another” (Matthew 24:10 KJV).

 It is so difficult in this generation to see an honest person who is naturally upright. Most people's submission or honesty are conditional and within a time frame. Most people who pretend to be honest are actually waiting for the opportunity to reveal their Judas-Iscariot side. We are in a generation where a man could be in bed with his wife while she is having a conversation with assassins on how he should be robbed or killed. Proverbs 19:1 KJV

 ANYTHING IS OFFENSIVE: We are in a generation where people get offended over everything. This is because there must be an excuse to carry out an evil agenda. Anyone who wants to carry out his or her evil plan would need to figure out an excuse to do so, and the easiest way would be an offense. Anyone (or friend) who gets offended over anything one does has the tendency of betraying him or her someday, and that was the spirit residing in Judas Iscariot. He was always offended by what Christ did, even to the point that pouring ointment on Him before His burial was also an offense to him. Matthew 26:12 KJV

 CAN YOU BE TRUSTED?: It is becoming impossible to find a trustworthy person in this world. The system of things does not allow honesty anymore. Dishonored people are honored in this dying world; hence, business owners, church leaders, etc., put their workers into oaths to condition them, but is it supposed to be so? Not at all. One must be genuinely born again, have the seed of God planted in him or her, love God, and be heavenly-minded to be honest and trustworthy in this generation. You could decide to follow the ways of this world or separate yourself unto God. There are still a few honest believers in this sinful world. Are you one of them? Proverbs 12:22 KJV

 PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me and uproot the seed of dishonesty from me, and plant your seed of honesty in me, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

 REFLECTION: “Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom” (Micah 7:5 KJV).
