TITLE: SEEK KNOWLEDGE UNTO ETERNAL LIFE 

KEY TEXT: “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased” (Daniel 12:4 KJV). 

There is no doubt that knowledge has increased and continues to increase in the world. Advancement in technology has helped humans discover many things that were once hidden, and it is made available to people all over the world. The more people know, the more they want to discover. You would expect that when people know more, they would be more humble and more upright before God, but it is not so. Ecclesiastes 7:29 KJV

NOT ALL KNOWLEDGE PROFITS: It is quite unfortunate that people will seek all kinds of knowledge to make their existence sweeter, but fail to seek the knowledge that would make them live in eternal rest. It is like what the Word of God says, that the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. This destructive habit has unfortunately crept into the Church, as Christians of today can believe anything without searching it in the Word of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18 KJV 

SEEK KNOWLEDGE THAT WILL SAVE YOUR SOUL: I urge you to be like the Berean believers in the book of Acts 17, who searched out what they were told to ascertain if it was approved by God. As you seek for understanding in the issues of life, seek more of the knowledge that will secure your soul for eternity, which is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ, who God has sent. Seek God now while HE may be found. John 17:3 KJV  

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please forgive me for despising your knowledge that can save my soul. Please give me the grace to continually seek the wisdom of God and live according to His Word, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.  

REFLECTION: “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11 KJV).
