TITLE: YOU ARE IN THE WORLD TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE 

KEY TEXT: “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience” (Ephesians 5:6 KJV).

Not all professing believers know the anger of God awaiting every unrepentant sinner. It is scary to see the Word of God deliberately being disobeyed by the children of God, even when the Word of God has told us the consequences of sinning or disobeying God. God is not a man that would say one thing and do the opposite. He has told us what He will do to this dying world. He said that the world and all who are in it will melt with fervent heat. But why would you be under such terror when you could escape it? 2 Corinthians 5:11 KJV 

YOU ARE IN THE WORLD BUT NOT OF IT: There is no doubt that this generation will face the wrath of God in a horrible way. No generation in the history of human existence has experienced the anger of God the way this generation of vipers and devouring wolves in sheep’s clothing will experience very soon. We are in a generation that has decided to fight God Almighty with its rebellious activities. But you are not part of this rebellious generation, you are in the world to lend the heavenly character and lifestyle to it, not borrow the worldly lifestyle from the children of disobedience. How is your life reflecting the light of holiness to those around you? Do people see you and see the holiness of God? 1 Peter 1:14-16 KJV 

LET YOUR LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Even the Church of God in this generation is not helping matters, since the world has crawled into the Church. No wonder the Lord asked if He would meet faith on earth when He shall return (Luke 18:8), meaning if there would be anyone who could still bear the mark of true holiness at His return. Beloved in Christ, you could make a difference, even if everyone around you has forsaken the ways of God for the seasonal pleasures of sin. It is so disheartening to see most believers on the side of this rebellious generation. They call on the name of Jesus Christ in their chronic rebellion, and they are the generation that is using grace and love to mock holiness and salvation. Romans 6:1-6 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy on me, in any way I have been a part of the rebellious generation. I repent of my sins. Give me the grace to overcome the forces behind the New Age Christianity of ungodly love and unholy grace, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV).
