TITLE: DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE OF LIVING 

KEY TEXT: “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned” (Mark 16:16 KJV).

Many think being wealthy is the purpose of life fulfillment, and that is why people are doing all they can to earn money, build houses, buy cars, get married, and have children to feel fulfilled in life. What a missed priority! Many are like the rich man in Luke 19, who was wealthy and enjoyed the pleasures of this world, but he died with his purpose unfulfilled. On the other hand, the poor and wretched Lazarus did not enjoy this world, but he fulfilled his purpose. Being rich or poor is not a prerequisite for one’s purpose fulfillment, as one could be either and not know why he or she is in this world. Before our formation in the womb, the Lord made a specific plan for us all (according to His Word), and He expects everyone to fulfil his or her purpose of being created. An individual can only fulfil his or her purpose when he or she is aware of what God has written about him or her. Ephesians 2:10 KJV

KNOW YOUR CREATOR: The first purpose that everyone must genuinely fulfill in life is knowing his or her Creator, and everything else should be centered on that. Knowing Jesus Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Savior is the greatest purpose of living. Having the riches of this world, a job, marriage, and every other blessing or commitment is secondary. Everything done without being born again is nothing but time wasted on earth. Most unbelievers who are rich think it is foolish to surrender to Jesus Christ, since they have been able to become wealthy. In fact, unbelievers can get things done quicker their own way. They could do all sorts of dubious things to get things done, while believers have to wait patiently on God’s help; hence, many people see no need in giving their lives to Christ, forgetting that they are living outside their purpose of existence, making themselves candidates for God's wrath. There are souls in hell, who failed to fulfil their purpose of being created, and their existence was rendered useless. John 3:18 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, have mercy and deliver me from anything that would make me come out of this world with my purpose unfulfilled, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will” (Ephesians 1:11 KJV).
