TITLE: WAKE UP OR BE WOUNDED 

KEY TEXT: “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Romans 13:11 KJV).

When one is sleeping or slumbering, he or she is said to be in a state of rest. No work is done at that moment, meaning one cannot fight or get hold of what belongs to him or her at that state of life. What a dangerous state a believer should be in spiritually! I do not know how long you have been in that state of motion? So many believers have refused to wake up from their spiritual slumber, even when the day is far spent. It is written that while men slept, the enemy came and sowed tares. So many Christians' lives are full of tares, yet they are not ready to wake up. Many are refusing to wake up to the reality of time, even when this generation is closing up in our very eyes. Proverbs 20:13 KJV 

DO NOT SLEEP YOUR SOUL AWAY: There are millions of souls in hellfire today, regretting and saying: "What have I done to myself?" They are regretting how they slept and their souls perished away like that. But thank God that you are still alive today to be woken up from your sleeping and slumbering of iniquity and sin. You can wake up now from your slumber. The reason Satan is still able to cajole so many believers is because they are deep asleep. Anything could settle in one's life while sleeping. And the reason so many believers cannot differentiate between the doctrine of condemnation being preached by money-making pastors of doom and the doctrine of reconciliation preached by God-fearing servants of Jesus Christ is because they are fast asleep. I pray they wake up before it is too late. Ephesians 5:14 KJV 

ARE YOU NOT ASLEEP TOO? Beloved of Christ, the reason you are still committing that sin you call little without fear in your mind and go to bed or eat without your heart failing you is because Satan has given you his sleeping pill to harden your heart. The name of the pill most often is: "It does not matter" or "don't judge me." But consider what God is saying now: "Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame" (1 Corinthians 15:34). Wake up and run away from that sin you are still playing with. Give your life to Jesus Christ if you are not yet born again. John 3:3 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, please wake me up from slumber and purge away the spiritual, sleeping drugs that Satan has given me, that I may awake unto holiness and righteousness, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: "Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light" (Ephesians 5:14 KJV).
