TITLE: THE PERFECT YOU IS DEMANDED 

KEY TEXT: “And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness” (Colossians 3:14 KJV).

It is so heartbreaking to hear believers say that no one is perfect, implying that none can be perfect. A majority of today's Christans, even most preachers on the pulpit, are fighting the Word of God unknowingly. Many forgot that they were created perfect. Man lost his perfection through Adam and Eve, and that was why Jesus Christ (the quickening spirit) came to bring back perfection to man; hence, He could say, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect,” (Matthew 5:48 KJV). I have been made to understand by the Word of God and with the help of the Holy Spirit that God is not just looking for those who will walk with Him, but those who will walk with Him in perfection. God is a perfect-working God, and nothing is imperfect with Him. You can come to Him as an imperfect individual, but you must be ready to become like gold that must pass through the fire to bring out the perfect nature in you. James 3:2 KJV 

THERE IS PERFECTION IN YOU: There is a hidden Christ in you, fighting on the inside to manifest the glory of God. No one can effectively walk with God unless the perfect him or her is in charge. Anyone walking with God in imperfection is on his or her own. To be approved by God and enter His Kingdom, perfection is demanded. It came at a time when God needed to walk with Abraham: "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” God is demanding the same thing from you if you truly want to walk with Him and work for Him. Genesis 17:1 KJV 

DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS THAN PERFECTION: Many believers have completely ruled themselves out from God's presence by telling themselves that perfection is impossible. Such people want to enter a perfect Kingdom with an imperfect soul. Jesus Christ said: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." You must ask the Holy Spirit to work on you and bring out the perfect you. With God, all things are possible, including perfecting an imperfect man for a perfect walk with God. Matthew 5:48 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord, my God, I surrender the imperfection in me to you, for you to work on me and bring out the perfection in me, so that I can walk with you in perfect holiness and true righteousness, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:4 KJV).
