TITLE: PROOF OF LOVE FOR GOD IS DEMANDED

KEY TEXT: “Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart” (Psalm 97:10-11 KJV).

It is generally said that Africans, Nigerians in particular, are lovers of God. The reason being is that Africans are so zealous in the things of God. There are more churches in some communities than schools, hospitals, industries, companies, good houses, etc. People in African communities pray daily in the church and attend night vigils more than other tribes or nations. It is undoubtedly agreed that Africa has more servants of God (so to say) than other continents in the world. But does all this really make Nigeria and other African nations lovers of God? Does it really mean that you, who is reading this message, love God? John 14:15 KJV

IS THIS HOW YOU LOVE GOD? The proof that Nigeria and other African nations love God are their constant programs, vigil singing, and shouting. Almost all the youth are engaged in church activities, yet wickedness is prevailing more in African nations. The youth in Nigeria are more into blood money (rituals) than other nations. Hatred, killings, and raping is a normal way of life to most people in Africa, whilst greediness, selfishness, and self-centred lifestyles are the order of the day in most places of worship in African churches. Rebellion against God is a way of life in the nations that say they love God, as they are going to church but living in sin the more with no fear of God; they are praying, falling down and getting up in sin and iniquity during deliverance services, giving prophecies and revelations in the midst of wickedness, and yet professing to love God. Deuteronomy 6:6 KJV 

SHOW YOUR PROOF OF YOUR LOVE FOR GOD: Loving God is not in busy-and-doing-nothing activities of most believers. The Bible said that let them that love God depart from iniquity. Your proof of the love of God is your fear for God and obeying His Word. Most men of God with crowds of followers have no fear of God in them, since many are ritualists, fraudsters, and false preachers. Most people that go to church, attending one or more vigils, have no interest in the Word of God. God said that He is a holy God, and anyone who wants to serve Him must be holy, too, but most believers who claim to love God are the ones fighting messages about holiness. Satan is laughing, seeing people deceiving themselves. It is written: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” However, most preachers have used their messages to remove the fear of God from their followers. Beloved in Christ, come out from the congregation of those gathering just for their temporary gains but have no hope of eternity. Hate what God hates and love what He loves from now on. 1 Corinthians 15:19 KJV

PRAYER: O Lord, have mercy on me, in any way I have been professing to love you when I was actually hating and rebelling against you. I repent and ask for the grace to love you with all my heart, in Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might" (DEUTERONOMY 6:5 KJV).
