TITLE: LEARN TO FOLLOW YOUR GOD-GIVEN HEART

KEY TEXT: Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment.  (Exodus 23:2 KJV).

Most people are into one problem or another and many have died as a result of following the majority's voice. Many want to be seen amongst the crowd and love to go along with public opinions. There are youths with great destinies languishing in prison because they were found where they were not supposed to be. Many have died because they were following their so-called friends to parties that resulted in bloody fights, when their parents thought they were at school studying, only to receive sad news about their death. Many churches have crumbled because the man of God chose to follow the people's opinion instead of asking the Holy Spirit; the one who knows the way to every journey and the secret of everything. Colossians 2:8 KJV

LEARN FROM THE MASTER: If you have read the four gospel books in the Bible and the account of Jesus Christ's life during His earthly ministry, you would notice that Jesus Christ was and is a man of His word. He has never and will never follow the opinion of the public. He was never moved, neither did He allow the Pharisees’ or Sadducees’ opinion to interfere in His doctrine or work that He came on earth to do. He was tried in all ways, but He never fell for the people's damnable opinion. Instead, He followed the laid-down principles given to Him by the Father. Jesus Christ never committed sin nor made an error just to please the people. John 2:23-25 KJV

BE WHO YOU ARE: This is the weakness of most believers today. It is difficult for people to maintain the standard of who they really are, because we are living in a world of unnecessary competition. Many pastors that are called by God to bring souls to Heaven in holiness are dangling between two opinions. They are neither in holiness nor in the secular ministry. They are not bold enough to totally separate themselves because of the fear of losing their fame or being left alone with God. There are a bunch of unstable believers everywhere who are neither godly nor fully worldly. They need to repent to avoid being a product of hellfire, and be stable in a painful but gainful holy lifestyle. 1 Pater 1:15-17 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord God, have mercy on me and deliver me from the spirit of the mixed multitude, and grant me the grace to always follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen. 

REFLECTION: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2 KJV).
