TITLE: DO NOT TRY TO WIDEN THE NARROW ROAD

KEY TEXT: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13 KJV).

God is not a man who would change His words because of emotion or the influence of people. A man could make a decision to do something but would change his mind when he sees someone with a disability and has pity on him/her, or sees a rich person and changes his mind, too. God is not so, especially when it comes to entering His Kingdom. The same standards are given to everyone. One’s condition will not make God allow him or her into Heaven with sin. 1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV

IT IS A NARROW ROAD: It is laughable to see some people trying to play tricks on God. Some actually think they could bribe God with what they have and who they are. For example, some so-called gospel artists actually think they could be allowed into Heaven because of their abilities to pull large crowds, no matter their worldly and chronic iniquity. Most influential people in the Church take sin as nothing because they think their giving to the Church or supporting the needy will influence the judgment of God to favour them (dreams that will never come true). The road is narrow and nothing sinful will go through it. Luke 13:22-24 KJV

FACE THE REALITY NOW: Many believers are living in a dream world. It is unfortunate that lots of souls slept in sin and woke up in hell like the rich man in Luke 16. Many believers, thanks to their pastors, are helping them go through the wide road to hell. It is so unfortunate that many Christians allowed themselves to be fooled into hell for eternity. Most believers are not ignorant of their sinful lifestyles; they do not care, as long as it is okay by their pastors. A majority of Christians are labouring in churches, spending their hard-earned money to support the Church that is leading them through the wide, express road of sin and iniquity to eternal damnation. Beloved in Christ, are you living in sin, thinking your so-called good deeds will influence God’s judgement for you on the last day? I tell you, No. You will likewise perish like those in hell unless you repent of your sins now and start living a holy life. Luke 13:1-5 KJV 

PRAYER: O Lord God, please have mercy on me, in any way I have ever thought my good deeds would widen the narrow road for me to walk on while living in sin. I repent today and ask for the grace to live a holy life that will see me through the narrow gate into Heaven, in Jesus Christ’s mighty name. Amen.

REFLECTION: “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (HEBREWS 12:14 KJV).
